Kings Creek Country Club
About
From the tips, Kings Creek can play particularly tough because of the prevailing winds off the shores of Cedar Creek Lake. However, on calm days this course can be had, since the layout is fairly basic and features water on only six holes. In the late 1980s, the course became known for its improving condition, and that reputation has held true over the years.
The front nine is shorter and a little easier than the front, its toughest hole being the 200 -yard No. 3 over water. No. 14 typifies the longer back: a 576-yard marathon with water on either side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Dallas, take I-175 south, then turn right on Hwy. 274. The course is 2 miles down the road.

Nice course
Greens need a lot of care and some hole to hole needs direction signs.
Kings creek
Keep expectations low. It's a country golf course. They are trying to get the greens back into shape, but are in very bad shape. Don't pay over 25 to play here. Temporary greens put into the fairway so unable to putt. Don't do more than 2 putt if you get on the green. I still have a good time here cause it can be very fast pace but again don't expect high quality. Always a great break during the day if you have 2 to 3 hours to play.
Trash
Worse course I've ever played in dfw. Not even worth it if it was free
Course conditions
This was the worst course I have played. The greens were horrible
This course needs some work
Course was in rough shape. Greens were gone and had several temp greens in use. Lots of drainage problems as well.
Know what you are getting into
The best thing about this course was the Hot Deal at 11:30 on a Sunday for $35. However it was not with that. We knew as soon as we drove by it was going to be bad, but had no idea all Greeks have 1”of sand on them and putting was worthless. We quit after 14 because there was a group of regulars playing a par 3 tournament for the masters with random tea boxes. No way we were going to wait even 5 minutes. Better just to head home. Wish it was much better so we could play when down at Cedar Creek lake but too disappointed to go back.
Poor Condition
Greens are all almost dead or in really bad shape. Course was cart path only and we didn’t find out until after paying.
wasted day
front desk unfriendly, mumbled and could not understand him. No grass on fairways or greens. Very hardpacked A group of 5 slowed down whole course. Cart paths were crumbled up concrete in some areas. We played about 12 holes then left.
Water!
This course was fun to play albeit for a beginner was very challenging. The day we played the winds were gusty, but there was water everywhere. I deposited my fair share of balls in the water. Greens were very fast.
Lots of water
Greens are very fast and there is water everywhere. I shot a bad round, but it was mainly due to the wind today. There are restrooms located on each 9 that were clean enough for my wife to feel comfortable using. The front 9 is in better shape than the back 9 due to recent rains. Overall, I am looking forward to get back out there in the spring when everything greens up.
Overall experience
Course was in good shape, greens were fast but a good challenge.
