About
From the tips, Kings Creek can play particularly tough because of the prevailing winds off the shores of Cedar Creek Lake. However, on calm days this course can be had, since the layout is fairly basic and features water on only six holes. In the late 1980s, the course became known for its improving condition, and that reputation has held true over the years.
The front nine is shorter and a little easier than the front, its toughest hole being the 200 -yard No. 3 over water. No. 14 typifies the longer back: a 576-yard marathon with water on either side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Dallas, take I-175 south, then turn right on Hwy. 274. The course is 2 miles down the road.

Kings Creek
We play this course often. Right now the condition is not as good as it usually is. Greens bumpy. Fairways dry. But it's a great value for the money. Online $13.50 a round. Lots of water and narrow fairways make it challenging but not impossible to get good scores.

Water
This course was well kept. It is definitely not for the water prone golfer as there are water hazards on every hole, sometimes multiple. It was pretty challenging. My only degrading comment of the experience would be that the fairways are not all consistent. Some are hard as a rock and others are extremely soft and divet prone. Overall good course though.

Great course… The rough just needs some love
I really like this golf course! It has a great set up and a great lay out the holes are a lot of fun. And I was really excited to go play because it was my first time out this year after all the rain we got throughout the winter time and early spring. Everything was greened up nicely my only gripe is that it look like they have not mowed the rough all year and seeing as how I'm not a professional and even they hit it in the rough sometimes it's safe to say I lost at least one sleeve of golf balls just because I could not see where it was even if I drove up on it. It is a great deal for the cost and the drinks are priced very well and overall it's a great atmosphere. The greens were in fantastic shape they were mowing the greens they were watering the greens and they rolled perfectly! So I hope they get the rest of it in better shape and make it more playable.

Nothing special
I will be honest this course and me do not get along. Something about the layout and design do not fit my eye and the water here can be a nightmare. The course is fine but rather boring. Yes if you out in the middle of no where and this is you only option then go for it. But to be honest I would drive 15 min up the road to Creekview

Great day of golf
I really like this course, wide fairways some long par fives and challenging par threes . Fun course for long time players or beginners like myself .
Fun course
First time I've played this course. I really enjoyed it. Balls are easily lost out of sight in the rough though. I played a round alone in just over 2.5hrs. Breakfast buffet was awesome! Staff is great! Fairways hadn't been mowed recently but they weren't terrible. Will definitely be returning!
golf outing
Great course with excellent layout. Greens are in good shape for time of year. Course is kept maintained and watered. The Dallas grass is terrible to hit out of if you don't hit in the fairway but small price to pay for theoverall value. Great staff. Even the alligators like to smile at you.

Great course for the cash
Nice lay out and very playable. Greens are maintained very well. The staff was friendly and helpful as were the other golfers. The beer was cold and fresh, but I didn't have a chance to try the food. I will definitely be playing here again.

Course was fun and deceptively challenging at times. Would definitely recommend worth the 45 min driveall day long can't wait to play it again
Improved
Course was in good shape. Fairways were excellent and greens were beginning to make a comeback from winter issues. Greens still a little grainy and slow but very playable. I enjoyed my round.

The staff was nice and courteous. The course has a nice layout.
Almost perfect
The course is in great shape coming off a horrible winter and in a few weeks the greens should be perfect and they are double cut and rolled. And for the price it just can't be beat. Mary at the front desk is the nicest possible and truly helpful and kind.

Tee box was open the staff let us Tee off before our time. At the end of the round they invited us to come play in the scramble this weekend.
All the lakes and water hazards are full making the coarse challenging. Early Spring and the grass in the fairways is there but getting ready to get good. Greens rolled true just a little hard at this time.
Teed off on number 1 and never had to wait moved around the coarse with ease. Brand new carts with ball and club washers on each cart.
Enjoyed the round and will do it again in the near future.
