Lake Park Golf Course - Championship Course
About
Lake Park Golf Club is located below the Lake Lewisville dam, and was originally known as Oak Ridge Park. Make sure you warm up before your round, because no. 1 goes 465 yards with water in play off the tee. The next notable hole is no. 8, which offers a nice risk-reward situation with two small ponds protecting the green 312 yards away. With the wind, it is definitely driveable. On Lake Park Golf Club's back nine, no. 10 gives you the option to carry the lake with a 230-yard-plus drive, or lay up and leave yourself with a long approach over the water.

Course fun and fair.
Emulates link style but not with bunker danger. Allows options to use of tee box to make it more challenging and very easy to keep ball in play. Only thing is no drinking water coolers anywhere on course, recommend bring your own.
Good course for the money
Greens were in great condition.
Tee Boxes were in so-so condition
Fairways were in good condition
Really good course for the money.
Pace of play today was a shade under 4 hours today (foursome)
Great for beginners
Very forgiving course, hard to lose balls here so stroke count stays low. The breeze from the lake really helps with the summer heat too.
Windy
The course is in pretty good shape, other than some of the tea boxes, which needed some sod. It was a windy day and a lot of the holes are in the crosswind when the wind is out of the south on this course.
Greens sucked
Greens had been punched in last 2 weeks or so but hadn't been rolled so impossible to putt on due to being so uneven and bumpy. Maintenance issue which could have been addressed much earlier.
Save your money!
Played this on Friday, yesterday. It was just in terrible condition all over, greens were punched recently, which is understandable but there is so much fuzz on the green the ball won’t roll straight even if the greens weren’t punched. I don’t think there is a course maintenance crew. Pace of play was awful, and it definitely isn’t worth the $30 a round. Maybe if total price was $20 (cart included) it would make more sense. Spend a little more money and play somewhere else so you won’t be miserable for 18 holes.
Great condition
This course seems to always be in great condition and you can score well, I've played in alot of places that cost almost twice as much and the course is nowhere close to the condition of lake park, don't miss out on your chance to play there, you will like it
