Lake Park Golf Course - Championship Course
About
Lake Park Golf Club is located below the Lake Lewisville dam, and was originally known as Oak Ridge Park. Make sure you warm up before your round, because no. 1 goes 465 yards with water in play off the tee. The next notable hole is no. 8, which offers a nice risk-reward situation with two small ponds protecting the green 312 yards away. With the wind, it is definitely driveable. On Lake Park Golf Club's back nine, no. 10 gives you the option to carry the lake with a 230-yard-plus drive, or lay up and leave yourself with a long approach over the water.

Lake Park
A bunch of DFW courses got hit hard during the winter freeze. Lake Park looks like it faired well. Some of the tee boxes need some work, but overall the course is in good shape. The greens are in decent shape for the most part. The course was pretty full and played in about four hours so no complaints in that regard.
Good for the Money
The pace of play could be alot better. A marshall is needed in worst way.
Over priced muni course.
Paid green fees on golf app.
Arrived at course and was told I had to pay and extra $40 for carts. Was told on line fee was for walkers. Completely deceiving tactic. I’ll never go back.
Ok
It was ok for the money I paid. I like this course I can’t wait foe them to finish reseeding and make the fairways a little better. Will play again.
Overpriced
I bought 4 tee times with the TeeOff app at $35 and when I got to the course I was charges an additional $14 per rider I ended up paying $50 per person. The quality of this course does not merit that much money . I was told that using the app was more expensive I recommend that the course should not contract with these apps unless they offer a package deal comparable to the regular fees.
Fun, wide open and in great shape.
This is my new favorite course. I’m a bogey golfer and am a huge fan of tracks that offer wide fairways and parallel holes. This courses fairways and greens were in great shape, pace of play was awesome, and all in all just a good time on a Sunday morning. Definitely be back soon.
Wide Open Course, watch out
Not very many obstacles to any fairway or green locations. You have to be careful of others wayward drives or send shots coming your way. Similar to Riverside in Grand Prairie for openness but very vanilla compared to Riverside layout.
Horrible
This course is the worst that I have played in the DFW area. The greens are in terrible condition. The tee boxes are mostly dirt. Fairway are hard panned dirt with very little grass. I thought this course would be a lot better for the price of 51.00 dollars. I do not recommend this course to anyone.
We meet again
Originally only being introduced to the 9 hole executive course. I found the 18 hole after venturing further down the road and after that it’s been my go to for quick week day rounds and practice. Shot my lowest score twice there 76 and have always felt like the course could be in better condition but still very friendly and playable. Mark your balls, the course is folded on top of itself and you can easily find your ball on another fairway so, mark it good. Overall great spot with a lake view!
Dont waste your time
Cart not included even though it says. The staff was the worst pary. What you pay with golf now and the cart fee when you get there you could of played somewhere much nicer. Dont waste your time or money. Its a headache and golf now needs to fix this on the app. CART IS NOT INCLUDED.
Always fun and enjoyable! Not too bisy during the week either if you wanna play alone.
Fun course to play for a relaxing round, great practice and confidence boosting course. Pretty wide open with lots of space and limited hazards. Pace tends to move along well even with walkers within groups. Conditions are good and improving with spring like most places in Texas right now. Do yourself a favor and order on of the jalapeño cheese sausage dogs, they are fantastic! Even the bun is amazing.
Good value, just take notice of the disclaimer when booking that cart is not included in the price. You will pay for it at the course if you wanna ride, still a good value overall tho, IMO.
The course was over crowded, no marshal to ensure pace of play. Not a golf friendly place.
I agree. I got burned by this as well roughly six months ago, and have not been back since. On top of that, the part about the staff being rude is an understatement. Awfully uppity for a course that barely qualifies as a decent muni.
