Lake Park Golf Course - Championship Course
About
Lake Park Golf Club is located below the Lake Lewisville dam, and was originally known as Oak Ridge Park. Make sure you warm up before your round, because no. 1 goes 465 yards with water in play off the tee. The next notable hole is no. 8, which offers a nice risk-reward situation with two small ponds protecting the green 312 yards away. With the wind, it is definitely driveable. On Lake Park Golf Club's back nine, no. 10 gives you the option to carry the lake with a 230-yard-plus drive, or lay up and leave yourself with a long approach over the water.

Golfer Reviews
Fun Track
This is a great course for beginners or anyone wanting to work on their game. The fairways were mostly very well maintained and the greens rolled true. The course layouts helps you to still recover nicely from errant shots. I will definitely play here again.
Fun course
This was a relaxing fun course. Had a lot of fun there.
Nice course for beginners
Perfect course for beginners like myself. Not a lot of trouble, pretty wide open. Pace of play can sometimes be an issue, but it is normally pretty crowded. Good value for around $20 but I wouldn’t pay any more than that.
Beginner/open course
This course difficulty is only a few water hazards and OB. Every fairway is straight and open
Friendly staff; Quite expensive but playing prime time on Sat morning so expected.
Pace was very slow, took over 5 hours for 18.
all in all great little course that is very enjoyable.
nice conditions
I have played this course many times
this was probably the nicest conditions that i have seen with this course....
I always enjoy playing here because I know I won't likely lose any golf balls...great chance to recover from poor tee shots..,,greens rolled true...if you want to hit driver often this is the course to let it rip..not challenging and may be boring to some....but sometime I don't want crazy blind doglegs and cant see the golfers in front of you etc...this is a nice break from that.....
Lake Park Hits The Mark
This is always a very fun course to play. The layout is interesting, and the wide open fairways beg you to grip it and rip it. I wouldn’t call it overly challenging by any stretch, but it still packs a punch if you fall asleep at the switch. Again, the emphasis, especially with those wide open fairways is “fun”...which makes it a great practice course, as well as a good course for beginners. The fairways are good, the rough is fluffy, and the greens roll fast and true. As a matter of fact, many of the greens are multi-plateaued which makes good target practice for hitting different sections of the green rather than always going for the center. ...wrong plateaus often lead to 3 putts. The staff is also very friendly, the practice facilities are top notch, and the price is right.
Lake Park
Course is in good shape. This is great course to work on your game. There is very little OB and only 4 ponds on property so you really have to try to lose a ball. Its a great value, with very reasonable rates even on the weekends. Check out the golf scooters they have available for rent!
Fun Course in Good Condition
Mostly good experience, but on a busy Saturday, not having a course marshal out there created a bit of chaos. Staff was all very nice.
Literally worth your money!!!!
This is probably one of the cheapest 18 hole rounds of golf i’ve ever payed for. The staff are so friendly, and productive. Layout of the course is okay, but if your just looking to get a quick 18 in during the weekdays M-Th they allow walk on’s! They have driving range with brand new mats, but they switch between them and the actual ground. The putting green is also the chipping green so that can get a little clustered at times. Overall probably the best course for your money!!!
Friendly layout
This course has a very friendly layout which is nice if you don’t really have an A game... Fairways are very open and in good shape. Greens are fairly decent with the back nine being in better shape than the front nine. This course was fun to play. The range was closed on the day we played so can’t offer any comments there. I would play this course again. Good little course for the price.
Golf Now
I booked my tee time through the golf now app and got the confirmation, but when we got to the course they didnt have me in the system. I got lucky and was able to get the next time which was 30 minutes later.
Easy Course, decent conditions
Fairly easy course even for a beginner. The conditions were okay and overall a pretty good value. It would be nice if there was more views of the lake since it's right on it.
Lake Park
Good for beginners and those just wanting to smash some golf balls! Minimal hazards & open.
Good course for the money.
I’ll recommend this course to all golfers especially amateurs golfers. If y’all want an easy course this is it.
Winter golf - Rougher than usual
I have played this course many times - greens worse than usual..fairways mostly hardpan..
it is a nice open course with great abilities to recover form a bad tee shot - great of you like to pull out driver - can use it on any hole other than par 3's
It s a good price with hot deals
