Formerly known as Arrowhead Country Club, Pinnacle opened in 1970 as a 9-hole track nestled on the cozy banks of Cedar Creek Lake. Tough times descended and the course was shut down before reopening with an additional nine and new ownership in the 1980s.
Dallas’ eastward growth has turned many onto the pleasant, rural atmosphere at Pinnacle Golf Club. Every hole is lined with trees and, despite its short length, the course is particularly tough because of the numerous dogleg fairways. Not counting the par 3s, 11 of 14 holes have doglegs. Because of the trees it’s recommended that you leave the driver in the bag.
The toughest hole is No. 15, a par 5 that goes 511 yards and offers a testy risk-reward decision. With a good drive into the wide-open fairway, going for it in two is possible by cutting the lake on the left side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, find the town of Eustace and turn right on Hwy. 316. Drive. Turn right on Hwy. 316 and drive 5.5 miles to Clear Creek Rd. Turn right again and follow the signs to the course.

The course is in fantastic condition. Really enjoyed my round.
Pinnacle
Tim Larson and his team have the Pinnacle club as good as I’ve seen it in a long time! Hands down one of the nicest courses in Tx! A hidden GEM!👏
Great place to play
Course is always fun to play. Not the best of shape due to aerating the course. Greens were in pretty good shape. About 50/50 grass to sand ratio. Made them fast. Still a great place to play.
Pinnacle rates
The course is in really good condition. Don’t let the course length fool you. The rough consist of huge pine trees placing a premium on keeping it in the fairways.
Looking great
The Pinnacle is looking the best I've seen it in 5 years. The greens are in great condition. They roll true and aren't super fast. The fairways and tee boxes are lush and make play fun and enjoyable.
Nice course
The new greens are great. Marshals kept pace of play reasonable on the weekend. Back 9 layout can be challenging with all the water!
More!
Tough course. Heat and humidity the day I played was borderline unbearable. Pace of play was slow. Starter was doing his best to size groups accordingly. Greens were great, putted true. Fairways were starting to show some spots, but it’s TX in July. Overall they were very nice. Target golf. Don’t need to be a long hitter to score well, it’s more about placing your tee shot. First time here, I definitely made some club choice errors and my score suffered. Want another shot and will definitely play it again and recommend the course to anyone.
