Formerly known as Arrowhead Country Club, Pinnacle opened in 1970 as a 9-hole track nestled on the cozy banks of Cedar Creek Lake. Tough times descended and the course was shut down before reopening with an additional nine and new ownership in the 1980s.
Dallas’ eastward growth has turned many onto the pleasant, rural atmosphere at Pinnacle Golf Club. Every hole is lined with trees and, despite its short length, the course is particularly tough because of the numerous dogleg fairways. Not counting the par 3s, 11 of 14 holes have doglegs. Because of the trees it’s recommended that you leave the driver in the bag.
The toughest hole is No. 15, a par 5 that goes 511 yards and offers a testy risk-reward decision. With a good drive into the wide-open fairway, going for it in two is possible by cutting the lake on the left side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, find the town of Eustace and turn right on Hwy. 316. Drive. Turn right on Hwy. 316 and drive 5.5 miles to Clear Creek Rd. Turn right again and follow the signs to the course.

Tough course. Heat and humidity the day I played was borderline unbearable. Pace of play was slow. Starter was doing his best to size groups accordingly. Greens were great, putted true. Fairways were starting to show some spots, but it’s TX in July. Overall they were very nice. Target golf. Don’t need to be a long hitter to score well, it’s more about placing your tee shot. First time here, I definitely made some club choice errors and my score suffered. Want another shot and will definitely play it again and recommend the course to anyone.
Pinnacle is the Total Package
Great course !! Great Food ! Great service ! For as busy as it is the pace of play is great too!
Great Shape
I've been playing Pinnacle for 25 years and have never seen it this good. The new greens are fantastic ! The food and service was great as well! I would recommend this course to everyone !
Unbelievable Shape
This golf course is in the best shape it's ever been in . The service was awesome as well . Best place around in 60 miles !!
Some dead grass
Hot day, some dead patches in fairways. Greens were good.
Would play again without question
Course is fun and in great shape. Greens were in great shape and layout was fun. Course is a little short hit irons and woods off the tee box's. Can't go wrong with playing here or Cedar Creek County Club.
Great course in ETX
Really enjoyed our 2nd time at Pinnacle. Course in great shape (bunkers do need a little cleaning) and challenging layout - but fun from proper tees.

Pinnacle
Pinnacle is easily the nicest course on Cedar Creek. Greens are in great shape and rolling true! Would highly recommend!!
First Time Playing Course
Great course in great shape. Only complaint was it was very crowded and slow, Father Day weekend so it was expected. Very fun course with driveable par 4s, lots of water and tight fairways made for a fun day. We will be back
Work in progress
The green replacement project didn’t eliminate some severe bumps in certain greens that continue to burn easily due to mowing/rolling difficulty combined with sun exposure. The course is certainly improved but they would do well to smooth a few of the severe bumps on certain greens.
Pace of play was slow (4 hrs 20 min) but it was Father’s Day weekend. Advise not allowing 5-somes on weekends.
Great fun
Played course first time in April 2024 on new greens. Even better in mid June. Course excellent shape except bunkers needed cleaning - a lot of leaves. Fairways, tres and greens excellent condition. Rough was up but playable - no lost balls in rough. Very nice carts. Great value on golf Now
Course was closed
Booked online, got out there and course was closed for 2 days due to weather. Still waiting on refund!
