Formerly known as Arrowhead Country Club, Pinnacle opened in 1970 as a 9-hole track nestled on the cozy banks of Cedar Creek Lake. Tough times descended and the course was shut down before reopening with an additional nine and new ownership in the 1980s.
Dallas’ eastward growth has turned many onto the pleasant, rural atmosphere at Pinnacle Golf Club. Every hole is lined with trees and, despite its short length, the course is particularly tough because of the numerous dogleg fairways. Not counting the par 3s, 11 of 14 holes have doglegs. Because of the trees it’s recommended that you leave the driver in the bag.
The toughest hole is No. 15, a par 5 that goes 511 yards and offers a testy risk-reward decision. With a good drive into the wide-open fairway, going for it in two is possible by cutting the lake on the left side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, find the town of Eustace and turn right on Hwy. 316. Drive. Turn right on Hwy. 316 and drive 5.5 miles to Clear Creek Rd. Turn right again and follow the signs to the course.

Course was closed
Booked online, got out there and course was closed for 2 days due to weather. Still waiting on refund!
I had been excited to play this course.......
Overall I was disappointed. I had read a lot about the course but it was not in great shape overall. Some holes were great and some, particularly hole 5, had more dirt than grass. I have played 3 other courses this month that were in better shape. I will try it again in a year or so to see if it improves.
New greens
Fairways had lots of grass, greens need more maturity!
Position play
The course is great wish it wasn’t a 2 hr drive but it was worth it been planning it for few months. I appreciated how the course can appeal to the shorter hitter and play for the approach shot.
Love the course
The improvements made are great. It did take 5 hours to play but otherbthan that it was great
Fun
The coursenisnlooking very nice. Fairways and tee boxes were perfect. A few of the greens had some new sod placed and lots of sand but the rest were perfect as well. New golf carts as well. Overall I was thrilled and didn't play terrible either so win-win
Great changes
This course is in extremally good condition for this time of the year, especially with all of the rain we have had. The fairways were perfectly groomed with no sign of weeds. The new greens are coming in really nice, and I can only imagine how great they will be this summer. The staff here is obviously working hard. The clubhouse offers many excellent menu options. Everyone in our group of 8 golfers had terrific food, and the service was top notch. Considering joining this well run club!
Great Course and Great Service
The Golf course is in great shape . New greens are great with the exception of a couple spots that had new sod. The service was great in the new Proshop and the Restaurant. Service was fantastic.
Great Place Overall!! Would recommend to anyone !
Always Worth The Drive
Despite other courses in my area struggling to be in good shape this time of year, the hour & fifteen minute drive out to Pinnacle was definitely worth it. Greens were in great shape and we never had to wait on any one in front of us nor were we pressed by a group behind.
