Pinnacle Golf Club
About
Formerly known as Arrowhead Country Club, Pinnacle opened in 1970 as a 9-hole track nestled on the cozy banks of Cedar Creek Lake. Tough times descended and the course was shut down before reopening with an additional nine and new ownership in the 1980s.
Dallas’ eastward growth has turned many onto the pleasant, rural atmosphere at Pinnacle Golf Club. Every hole is lined with trees and, despite its short length, the course is particularly tough because of the numerous dogleg fairways. Not counting the par 3s, 11 of 14 holes have doglegs. Because of the trees it’s recommended that you leave the driver in the bag.
The toughest hole is No. 15, a par 5 that goes 511 yards and offers a testy risk-reward decision. With a good drive into the wide-open fairway, going for it in two is possible by cutting the lake on the left side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, find the town of Eustace and turn right on Hwy. 316. Drive. Turn right on Hwy. 316 and drive 5.5 miles to Clear Creek Rd. Turn right again and follow the signs to the course.

Pinnacle golf club June 5, 2022
First trip to Pinnacle GC and first time using GN. The course is a fun layout, slightly narrow, but relatively short. If you play smart you can score ok, but missing the line will put you in trouble with trees blocking path to green. Fairways are good and 17/18 greens were in good shape. Not pristine but better than most ETX courses available for public play. The woman in the proshop was extremely nice and helpful. I did get a slight sense that locals/property owners feel like it's their course and that they would rather not have visitors... but that vibe came from one group we encountered.
Nice Course - Front Help Not Great
I have played the course several times and it is a nice course. However, several of the greens are under repair right now and they are somewhat sandy. The big problem I have is that I am handicapped and have always been allowed to drive my cart on the dry parts of the fairways. Upon entering the course, there were signs everywhere about the 90-degree rule, which is fine when the fairways are wet or soggy. 95% of the fairways were in great condition and they were not wet. No one on the course was following the 90-degree rule and there was no marshall. I asked about being allowed to use the cart due to my condition and the front help very rudely told me in no uncertain terms that this would not be allowed.
Even with the handicap, we generally played the given rule but it would have been great to be allowed travel as required by my doctor. Otherwise, I would not have made the reservations when I did.
Fairways flooded and cups on the greens are left with lips. Equipment for driving range down.
Great Course
Greens are always in good shape. Challenging layout.
This is a very nice course to play no real complaints
This is a very nice course to play no real complaints . I play this course once a week it’s a real nice course Green always in real good shape fairways are great sometimes a little slow play but for the money that’s a nice course
Fun, but challenging.
First time playing here. It's back in the middle of nowhere, a whole lot of back roads to reach it. The course is well maintained and well designed. Very pretty scenery as far as Texas goes. I will say that if you're a beginner, it's a very difficult course. Super narrow fairways, lots of water and houses nearby. It's a great course, but if you shoot triple digit golf, you're going to have a rough day.
