Formerly known as Arrowhead Country Club, Pinnacle opened in 1970 as a 9-hole track nestled on the cozy banks of Cedar Creek Lake. Tough times descended and the course was shut down before reopening with an additional nine and new ownership in the 1980s.

Dallas’ eastward growth has turned many onto the pleasant, rural atmosphere at Pinnacle Golf Club. Every hole is lined with trees and, despite its short length, the course is particularly tough because of the numerous dogleg fairways. Not counting the par 3s, 11 of 14 holes have doglegs. Because of the trees it’s recommended that you leave the driver in the bag.

The toughest hole is No. 15, a par 5 that goes 511 yards and offers a testy risk-reward decision. With a good drive into the wide-open fairway, going for it in two is possible by cutting the lake on the left side of the fairway.

Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, find the town of Eustace and turn right on Hwy. 316. Drive. Turn right on Hwy. 316 and drive 5.5 miles to Clear Creek Rd. Turn right again and follow the signs to the course.

We have been playing here for years 1-2 times a year. It is always a special occasion! I especially liked the new additional forward tees for the ladies on par 5s.

Very challenging course

This course was very challenging. Great for golfers looking to see how good they actually are. Had some rain early in the day and the course drains very well. Rained around 10:00 am me and my buddy had a tee time around 11. We thought there was no way we would play. Called in and say course was still open. We’re able to still have at least 90degree rule.Friendly staff.

I have always enjoyed playing at this course and will continue when I get a chance to. one of the best courses I have played and have sent many of my friends to play on this course. Always a great time

Pinnacle is worth the drive from the metroplex. Course is always in great shape. Gotta keep the ball straight off the tee (definitely a challenge for me) if you want to score well. Always see deer on several holes. If your looking for something a little different then Pinnacle is for you.
