Formerly known as Arrowhead Country Club, Pinnacle opened in 1970 as a 9-hole track nestled on the cozy banks of Cedar Creek Lake. Tough times descended and the course was shut down before reopening with an additional nine and new ownership in the 1980s.
Dallas’ eastward growth has turned many onto the pleasant, rural atmosphere at Pinnacle Golf Club. Every hole is lined with trees and, despite its short length, the course is particularly tough because of the numerous dogleg fairways. Not counting the par 3s, 11 of 14 holes have doglegs. Because of the trees it’s recommended that you leave the driver in the bag.
The toughest hole is No. 15, a par 5 that goes 511 yards and offers a testy risk-reward decision. With a good drive into the wide-open fairway, going for it in two is possible by cutting the lake on the left side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, find the town of Eustace and turn right on Hwy. 316. Drive. Turn right on Hwy. 316 and drive 5.5 miles to Clear Creek Rd. Turn right again and follow the signs to the course.

The Pinnacle
A great little course and what a great deal. I'll be doing the GolfNow on it once a month at least.
Ground Staff Doing a Great Job
The last time I played here the course was not in very good shape. This time it was excellent!
Very enjoyable. Course is in good shape and we had a great time!
The snack bar and the bar and the club facilities are first class. I rated the off course Amenities poor because I did not see much there. Maybe I did not know where to go. This course is on a lake side housing area with a lot of pretty views and deer roaming free but not too many. The fairway are well kept and the greens are in good shape. We plan to go back in the near future.
Great value
Great corse for the money. But the greens were quite bad. They may have just sanded them, but it look that way from what I have seen on other courses.
Challenging course
Overall I enjoyed the round. There were some negatives because I was started behind a 5-some of members and the greens had been punched a few days before. The fairways were tight and the greens have plenty of slope. This course is difficult for the first timer that does not know where to place the ball. Can't wait to play it again.
Very good Course.
Nice place to play. Narrow fairways and you have to place your tee shot. Very friendly staff. There are a lot of sand bunkers! However, they really could use some sand in them. For the most part they aren't playable.
This course has doglegs, trees, and deer!
Fun course to play . Not long but tight!
Keep it in the short grass
I played in the afternoon heat so the course was not crowded and pace of play was quick. The course is in very good shape. The greens were aerated a couple weeks ago and have come back well. As everybody that has played this course realizes, it is extremely tight and unforgiving if you miss the fairway. If you are in the trees off the tee, you will be playing off dirt and have limited options for recovery. The fairways are in excellent shape. My only complaint, and it is just a personal preference, is the fairway grass is a little long. I suspect they are not cutting closer due to the heat. I did have a few lies where the ball settled down in the grass. Overall, however, I thought the course was excellent. Restaurant and bar hours are limited but if you have the opportunity, the food is very good.
Good day of golf
Course was in good shape!! The only complaint I have is that we didn't see the cart girl the entire round, but the water coolers were full of fresh cold cold water!!!
this course has lots of deer
I liked the course, but wish I had known that the greens had just been punched. The restaurant and bar were closed at 5:00 when I finished my round.
Worth the trip
Already planning to play this course again. It seems the deer are accustomed to golfers.
Bargain - Excellent Course
My son & I played this course for the first time. It is definitely my choice for course in this are of the state. It was also a real bonus to see all of the deer around the course. Totally outstanding experience!
Easily my favorite course
I play pinnacle club quite a bit and I have to say it is by far my favorite place to play. The course is in excellent condition and very green. Narrow fairways and some nice dog leg holes make for a fun but challenging course that plays well for any skill level. The staff is amazing and very friendly as well. Nice deals on golf now on most days that make it well worth the money.
Worth the effort to drive from Dallas
Fun course in great condition on the shore of Cedar Creek lake.

Course was in great condition, the staff and members were super nice. We had our round cut short by lightning, but I can't wait to go back and play a full 18.

I do not recommend this course! The course itself is beautiful, is well kept, greens are kept up. The problem is the club members. We've driven 1 1/2 hours to play this course on a few occasions, each time we've had in counters with rude and unfriendly club members. They do not like outsiders playing on their course. Players beware!!!
