Formerly known as Arrowhead Country Club, Pinnacle opened in 1970 as a 9-hole track nestled on the cozy banks of Cedar Creek Lake. Tough times descended and the course was shut down before reopening with an additional nine and new ownership in the 1980s.
Dallas’ eastward growth has turned many onto the pleasant, rural atmosphere at Pinnacle Golf Club. Every hole is lined with trees and, despite its short length, the course is particularly tough because of the numerous dogleg fairways. Not counting the par 3s, 11 of 14 holes have doglegs. Because of the trees it’s recommended that you leave the driver in the bag.
The toughest hole is No. 15, a par 5 that goes 511 yards and offers a testy risk-reward decision. With a good drive into the wide-open fairway, going for it in two is possible by cutting the lake on the left side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, find the town of Eustace and turn right on Hwy. 316. Drive. Turn right on Hwy. 316 and drive 5.5 miles to Clear Creek Rd. Turn right again and follow the signs to the course.

Great place for golf and great view
Fairways are in great shape. Greens are a litte thin. But this time of year in Texas tough to keep them looking great and receptive to approach shots. I luke playing this course if for no other reason than for the surrondings. Far enough into east texas that you get red dirt and green trees. Deer also run around on the course as well. Only 25 on a Friday, cant beat the rate. Treat yourself and play here.

I'm a local of Henderson County. This is my favorite course.
Great layout
Get time but should not allow 6 or7 some playing together
Love the course and the layout.... Grass is very short on fairways and greens
Pace of play
We got in behind two groups of five and were never encouraged to play through. Both groups were very slow, even for a fivesome. We played 16 holes ( we skipped two holes to get around these groups) in 5 hours. Long day not getting to play all 18.
Tee time
I set a tee time for around 10:30. We arrived at the course early and we were told that we couldn’t tee off until 11am because GolfNow made a error in tee times offered. This was frustrating because I set a tee time based off the plans we had made for the remainder of the day.
First Time
First -- I mixed up the dates for my Hot Deal, and they were more than accomodating. Honored the rate and put me on the course regardless, and were downright nice about it.
Course is not particulalrly long, if you're a big hitter it's probably not for you. The course was in far better shape than most of the courses in my area that had been drowned by recent downpours. Greens were in good shape and rolled true. Back 9 is really scenic, enjoyed the view as much as the golf. It's a little off the beaten path, but I'll certainly play it again.
Very nice course outside metropolitan area
The course is in a gated community. Starting with the entry gate attendant to the clubhouse staff to the residents of the community, everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The course is narrow and we lost our share of balls due to the slope of the land. The course has a nice layout and the fairways are different from what I normally play. Hole #10 is the signature hole. It is a par 3 that goes over a boating dock. It took 5 minutes for us to figure out how to get to the green. Nice course but the friendliness of the people is what I remember the most.
Excellent course
We play this course often as it is so awesome and golfnow hot deals makes it affordable for me.
