Pinnacle Golf Club
About
Formerly known as Arrowhead Country Club, Pinnacle opened in 1970 as a 9-hole track nestled on the cozy banks of Cedar Creek Lake. Tough times descended and the course was shut down before reopening with an additional nine and new ownership in the 1980s.
Dallas’ eastward growth has turned many onto the pleasant, rural atmosphere at Pinnacle Golf Club. Every hole is lined with trees and, despite its short length, the course is particularly tough because of the numerous dogleg fairways. Not counting the par 3s, 11 of 14 holes have doglegs. Because of the trees it’s recommended that you leave the driver in the bag.
The toughest hole is No. 15, a par 5 that goes 511 yards and offers a testy risk-reward decision. With a good drive into the wide-open fairway, going for it in two is possible by cutting the lake on the left side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, find the town of Eustace and turn right on Hwy. 316. Drive. Turn right on Hwy. 316 and drive 5.5 miles to Clear Creek Rd. Turn right again and follow the signs to the course.

GREAT PLACE
Fun to play there are holes for every golfer. The par 3 over the lake on number 10 was a fun whole to play! Deer running around the course is a cool thing too.
Ok course but nothing spectacular
The review that I had read lead me to believe this course would be much better than it actually was. The fairways and rough have some weed problems. The bunkers were in no shape to hit from. They had just aerated the green so I can't give an accurate description of them. They have had a lot of rain this spring, so maybe the course is normally better than it appeared but I doubt it.
There are better choices in the area for a similar price.
Best course around
Best bang for your buck!!!
pinnacle club
great course love playing out there a very tight and challenging course
Position A
This is a position golf course, the second time you play it would make it a little easier. If you spray your driver, there is no playing to the green from the trees, you will have to punch out stick it and one putt! Driver is not needed on every hole ! It is not that long but you better be able to hit it straight! Plenty of tee's to play from , back tee was only 6500 yards.
Visiting golfer
Tight course, lots of trees. Absolutely beautiful scenery, lots of wildlife
Pinnacle club cedar creek lake
Course was in the best condition I've ever seen it in. Recommend playing it.
Beautiful Course
Great course, hidden in the woods by Cedar Creek Lake. Greens had a lot of movement. Definitely one to play again.
Nice golf course !
Course is fun to play. Greens are in great condition, fairways in good condition. There are some fairly straightaway holes and some very quirky holes. You gotta drive your ball straight here. Very enjoyable round of golf!
awsome
The greens are fast and in great condition . So we're the fairways .extra bonus is the deer you will get to see.
Good
Nice course with good fairways and greens! Would recommend this course played fast and staff was friendly and prompt!
Should have worked
I have been playing the Pinnacle for over 15 years. You are forced to place the ball accordingly or learn the art of the "punch" shot. I played the course to days prior and the course was in good condition considering the time of year. I returned to play the course with my dad in his birthday only to find that the greens were sanded and the course had been aerated. We quit on the 6th hole. We initially were going to play another course but GolfNow noted that the course had been aerated April 22 so we went to the PInnacle. You know the rest.
was a beautiful course
I Loved it. We Will definitely come back..........
Winter conditions
Course still getting groomed for the prime playing season. Greens were brutally tough.. need rolled bad!! Restaurant and bar were both closed :((
Pinnicle Course
It was a beautiful day, just wish I could have played as good as the weather.
The course is in great shape for winter conditions with plenty of good thick dormant grass to play from. There are a lot of trees and some pretty challenging shots to be had, but it's fair, non the less.
I would recommend this course to anybody in the low to mid handicap range.
great gourse
great course , difficult sand traps
great views took pic's
loved # 10
peaceful and fun to play
fun course but tight. demands accuracy above length off tee. nice looking holes.
Really good staff and fun course
Take your buddies and play. Lots of trees and good times.
Pretty fun course but it needs some attention, and a marshall.
Let me start out by stating that the day we played, was just too hot for golf. My oldest son decided he wanted to tee of in the early afternoon. What a mistake! While this was not the golf courses fault, we only saw the cart girl once on a 104 degree afternoon. The older gentleman at the front desk was kind of rude when we first checked in and very short with every sentence. Ok, I can live with that. I used to play here all the time when I lived in the area and it was one of the nicer courses in the area. Now the greens are dying (could be the heat but this is Texas so they should know what to expect). the wooded areas are so thick with stuff on the ground that walking through them is a nightmare, much less finding a ball, and NONE of their carts would hold a bag on it to save their lives. I changed carts twice and so did my son and we lost our bags off of them at least 7 times. Now, I not once saw a marshall and while I am not going to complain about a group in front being slow, I am going to complain about local residents "sneaking onto the course" to play a few holes. We had at least 5 private carts do this and say that they were doing so. Not to mention the kids playing a baseball game on the fairway on the back nine. I would say that for the value, it is ok since we caught a twilight price. If it were an early morning prie, I would rate this much worse value. A little more upkeep, customer service, and monitoring of the course would take this back to a beautiful hidden gem. Until then, I am not sure I will drive another hour and a half one way to play this course.
Good value and fun funky course
Clourse conditioning needs lots of attention but overall was fun course to play
