Llano Grande Golf Course
About
Llano Grande Resort is surrounded by palm trees and citrus groves. But no matter how you paint the picture, it's still an 81-acre mobile home and travel trailer park for winter Texans that features an 18-hole "championship" layout with four sets of tees.
While the tips plays at a reasonable 6,781 yards, we recommend that you play the course from the blue tees, which still plays at a respectable 6,387 yards but cuts the par 3s down to mid-short iron range and makes the par 4s very enjoyable. This track gives you the opportunity to start well with a mid-range par 3, but follows it up with one of the most difficult holes on the course, a 416-yard par 4.
Getting there : Take Hwy 83 west and proceed 15 miles to West Road. Take the only turn you can and drive 1.5 miles to Golf Course Road.

18 hole layout great
Although the price was right, the course needs better grooming! Many wet areas next to green stopping ball from getting on. Also on #6 grass too long around green and dead areas on this green. Cart paths rough. Lots of challenges for even great golfers. Much improved from last year!
Great course
Lots of challenging holes, well marked fairways. Played only back 9. Not used to sand on the greens, made for more adjustments to the ball speed. Indulations on all the holes and varying slants along the fairways. All raised greens with their own slants. Fun course and would definitely play it again. Windy when we played so more club adjustments. Joanne, MN
Ok course
Friendly staff, long open fairways, good greens for Feb. Could use a few more diectional arrows or signage on getting to few holes .
Slow play
Had to quit after 13 holes due to a 5 some and (2)4 somes ahead of us then then 2 some ahead of us. Very slow play not moving .. so we left.
Course conditions
Course well kept but needed watering. Very hard pan. Tee boxes hard to get tees in the ground.
Nice course, very friendly staff!
We booked 18 holes through the golf now app for a 12:56pm tee time.
When we arrived at the course we were told there was only time to golf nine or we could golf as much as we wanted until 4:00PM. Golf Now was not supposed to book anyone later than noon because the course closes at 4:00PM. They were very nice, gave us our choice including a rain check for 9 holes and even called Golf Now because this has happened before and continues to happen. Even now when I check the app in the future, golf now is offering tee times later than noon at Llano Grande. Our complaint is not with the course, it is with Golf Now. We have been very happy with golf now, except for this issue.

Great place for a round of golf
Wife and I have played Riverbend 2 times this winter so far and will do it again for sure.
Staff is always very friendly and the course is in fair shape, It is a good course for a level of players.
Very dffficult to find your ball in the bermuda grass
This grass swallows up the ball, you need to be directly over the ball to find it. This made playing as a single exceptionally challenging. Lost at least 4 balls that should have been found..
A little gem in the Valley
Friendly staff. This is a surprisingly good and challenging course. I played it on a windy day (15-25 mph). Although it is wide open, with very few trees offering obstructions, and not exactly a long course, straying from the fareway off the tee will definitely complicate your approach shot in every hole. The greens were not the greatest but we’re very consistent and rather small. A few tee boxes were in crummy shape. The rough was definitely challenging as it was tall and, in some areas, very thick. Errant shots on narrow fareways will put you on knee high grass or water making your ball unrecoverable. Holes 11 and 18 were my favorites. Worth the money spent!
Open before ready
Front nine not bad. Grass still a little high
Back nine not cut hardly at all. Lost several golf balls in the middle of the fairway. I've played there before with much better results. We will try there later in the season.
Good for the money
The lady in the pro shop was courteous. Not so much for the man. Greens were very good. Fairways were decent but a bit bare. Shot a 78 so a good day.
Always Fun to play a new course.
Kinda reminds me of the many Texas country courses i cut my teeth on learning to play this great game. With a very friendly helpful staff as well as fellow golfers another day well spent on the golf course. Very little to fear off the tee with very few trees and water that is easily avoidable. Thanks to the Texas golfers assistance program (hard fairways And constant breeze) you will surely find half the holes quite manageable while the other half will be tough and find yourself hitting to postage stamp greens in every case. I found the greens to be in somewhat of a transitional period as they were a little thin in areas but smooth with no foreign grasses. There are several adjacent fairways that would warrant your being on the lookout for misguided missiles that is another characteristic of the old Texas golf courses. So go and enjoy.
