Llano Grande Golf Course
About
Llano Grande Resort is surrounded by palm trees and citrus groves. But no matter how you paint the picture, it's still an 81-acre mobile home and travel trailer park for winter Texans that features an 18-hole "championship" layout with four sets of tees.
While the tips plays at a reasonable 6,781 yards, we recommend that you play the course from the blue tees, which still plays at a respectable 6,387 yards but cuts the par 3s down to mid-short iron range and makes the par 4s very enjoyable. This track gives you the opportunity to start well with a mid-range par 3, but follows it up with one of the most difficult holes on the course, a 416-yard par 4.
Getting there : Take Hwy 83 west and proceed 15 miles to West Road. Take the only turn you can and drive 1.5 miles to Golf Course Road.

This course has good fairways but greens need to be rolled.
We four golfers thought the fairways were in good shape but the greens needed to be rolled and smoothed out to get better putting results. We all golf 4-5 times weekly and are 20 handicappers.
Ok for the money
For $16 it was ok. Greens were not good. Layout was ok. Although at first appearance it looked simple, the layout had some challenges. Fairways were thin in areas. Staff and other golfers were friendly. Had resteraunt /bar
Interesting, challenging, conditions not the best!
Boy, if the green were rolled and cut it would have been much better. For a watered course in 80 degree weather you would think the fairways would be better. I assume the grass must want to be dormant despite the warm Texas winter. There are lots of water penalty areas and fairways are often narrow, and greens small. Definitely a full length golf course. Now that I've plaid it once, look out - I'll know where I'm hitting too next time as fairway airlines and contour are difficult to discern from the tee. Definitely a challenge from the Blues!
Will return
Not always easy to find the next tee block. Friendly staff. To bad, the wind was very bad! Very good valu for the price!
Great course, great value !!!
Nice layout, grass fairways were in good shape, not a lot of hazards or sand traps to deal with. Bermuda greens take some getting used to, by the time I rounded to #10 I had gotten a feel for them. Great staff, clubhouse and bar. Overall great experience, I’ll be back !!!
Enjoyed the course.
Sustained winds of over 40 mph did not hinder a most enjoyable afternoon. Greens very slow and a little rough. Got lost one 2 occasions, but probably our fault.
Nice beginner course
Not a lot of trouble for a high handicapper like me. Play was too slow. It was very busy
Windy
This is the 3rd time we played this course and each time it has been windy to very windy. The course is nice and it is busy with people from the resort but all are friendly
Can do better
GolfNow needs to keep update with the course, since the course and GolfNow's GPS are not the same. For example, first hole on GPS is par 3 when it is actually Par 5. The 13th hole, the blue tee mark was misplaced and left off the the drive spot. So disappointing that it's hard to find flags for most part.
Course layout
Tee boxes poorly marked. Fairways need attention. Most greens require some work to get them up to par!
Ok golf
Course is in fairly good shape. There are some wholes where you can’t find your ball in the rough because the grass is so long. The fairways are also long. They have aerated the greens & they are very bouncey to putt on. Still all in all like going there occasionally.
Schedule and layout
The hot deal didn't go through, I had to go to the course and then it was manually scheduled. The front nine order has been changed around and therefore doesn't match golflogix or Garmin in gps for layout and distances.
