Llano Grande Resort is surrounded by palm trees and citrus groves. But no matter how you paint the picture, it's still an 81-acre mobile home and travel trailer park for winter Texans that features an 18-hole "championship" layout with four sets of tees.
While the tips plays at a reasonable 6,781 yards, we recommend that you play the course from the blue tees, which still plays at a respectable 6,387 yards but cuts the par 3s down to mid-short iron range and makes the par 4s very enjoyable. This track gives you the opportunity to start well with a mid-range par 3, but follows it up with one of the most difficult holes on the course, a 416-yard par 4.
Getting there : Take Hwy 83 west and proceed 15 miles to West Road. Take the only turn you can and drive 1.5 miles to Golf Course Road.

We had a tee time booked for Sunday, they called us & let us know there was a slip up & needed to reschedule us for a different day. We were agreeable & made it for 2 days later. Problem that happened was bad weather happened that day. We played 13 holes & had to stop after that. The manager gave us a 9 hole rain check for the 2 of us. We sure appreciated the way they handled our situation.
Potential outweighs reality
Course is very dry thus average at best. Some tee boxes have no grass and you break your tee putting it in the ground. N

Not the best!
Course has toomany wet areas, either from overwatering, poor monitoring of water cycles, or poor drainage! This has been a problem for many years!
The only reason I went back to this course is because it's just a few yards from me and I need the practice for a much better course!
Ok course
They over watered fairways..it was muddy.. greens were decent.. so crowded and people were allowed to play in groups of more than 5 and we were only a twosome and was held up so much .They closed at 4:00 not knowing this and we just barely got finished ,since we were slowed up .plus they were short of carts, no club house with food or a lot of refreshments..
Course needs help
First of all, advertised that it includes cart, no cart provided! So many fairways wet with water leaks that my ball found, hole 8 left side in particular. Fairway on 12 needs grass, too many bare areas! Hard to hit a ball on bare dirt. Hole 6 green in tough shape. Normal cost of $35. is too much for this course that advertised as Championship course!
Average course
This course is over priced. It it wasn’t for Golf Now I couldn’t see paying the normal fees. I’ve played better courses in the area for the same amount.
Great staff
The management has some issues including running out of carts before 11::00 AM
But the sincere efforts of the staff covered the shortcomings
