Thumbs up to Loggers Trail
The course was in excellent condition and the experience was great...
Challenging course, great views.
The course was in good conditions, and was challenging. Hidden gem, I will definitely play again.
Thank you for playing, we appreciate the kind words.
Walked off the course after nine holes!
we played the first two holes in one hour. The front nine took 2 hours and 45 minutes. We got to 10 tee and there were three groups on the hole so we walked off. We never saw a ranger on the course. Also, no drinking water until hole #8.
Never again!
Mr. Rogers I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience on Saturday. Saturday was a very busy day for us.. Thanks for being a part of it. Our worst finishing times were 4:40 on Saturday which we are proud of on a day with the number of golfers we had. In fact the two-some you played with finished in 4:30. And that was starting at twilight with 228 Golfers already having tee'd off prior to that time.
I'm sorry you didn't see the ranger, he was out there all day.
We are one of the few courses that do have free water on the course. We have it on the left side of the #4 fairway, near the 6th tee box, near the 8th tee box, next to the 14th tee box, and next to the 17th tee box. I was never informed that they had ran out. I'm sorry if they were empty, we could have filled them quickly had they run out.
We appreciate you coming out, I hope you enjoy your time if you change your mind and give us another chance. If you do come out, let me know, and I'll buy you a beverage for giving us another chance.
My name is Tim Matsche the course manager, so ask for me if there is a next time, and we'll make sure you have a better experience.
A fun day
Course is in great condition. Greens are quite fast and consistent throughout the course. I like the layout of the course. It is beautiful and makes you feel like you're up north in the woods.
Hit it straight and stay off the humps and bumps and you'll be fine.
2 for 1 drink specials in the clubhouse after your round is awesome. Don't get that from most places.
Will go back.
Thank you for the kind words. We appreciate it.
Good test / Stay straight
This is a fun golf course to play. The 9s are alittle inconsistent - as the front plays much more difficult than the back. Back 9 opens up more.
Holes are fairly close together on some holes. There are a couple of gimmicky holes - but all in all a good test and will keep your attention.
Thank you for playing. The course designers thought that Holes 4-7 were so scenic that they couldn't bring themselves to chop all of the trees down.
Course was okay.
not my favorite course no club house to speak of.
I like to relax on a patio after my round.
Thanks for playing. We are hoping to begin construction on the Clubhouse next year. We do have a "patio", it's not top ten material, but they beer is cold.
Thanks again.
They do have a patio, we sat on it last night drinking our 2 for 1 beers after our round.
We're hoping to have one soon. Thanks for playing.
Good value course
Course was in good condition, but the rough was a bit long due to recent rain. You will need to hit the ball straight here.
Thank you for playing. It's been a challenge mowing in between the rains. But the next week or so looks dry.
Great course for the money
I've played this course several times over the last 3 years and it never disappoints. There are plenty of challenging holes and the course is always in good shape. Once they finalize the clubhouse I assume that prices will go up, but for now it is one of the best value courses in the East metro
Thank you for the kind words.
Enjoyable round, minor course issues.
Overall the course was in good shape. Fairways were a little beat up in areas, nothing unexpected as a lot of people don't replace divots. Greens rolled true but obviously people were not fixing their ball marks, I typically fixed 2-3 ball marks in addition to my own, especially on par 3 greens. A few bunkers were basically mud pits, mostly ones that did not see sun, we have got a lot of rain recently though so not too unexpected. I've played this course many times throughout the years and always enjoy my round, staff is always friendly and their grilled food is quite good. I would recommend Loggers to anyone if they are looking for a challenging round of golf at a nice course for a fair price.
Loggers Trail
Booked a tee time for two with a cart through Golf Now. Saved over 70%. Good course. Long. Enjoyed ourselves. Excellent deal with the discount.
Good course with discounted fees
We like playing this course when we get a good deal through Golfnow. Hole placement was difficult this weekend. Threesome behind us hit up on us several times. That particular group was also yelling fowl language at each other which always makes for a nice round of golf. Other than that, course was in good shape. Finished 18 in about 4.5 hours.
Thanks for playing. Next time let the ranger know about these issues and we can certainly try and help out.
challenging course
If you like fast greens you'll love this place. Pace of play is pretty quick.
Thanks for playing!
Loggers Rocks
Fantastic design & layout. Greens fast and true. Little bit links and a little bit wooded. Great variety. Building new club house and practice greens. Should be a huge improvement over what they have now.
Loggers Needs to Clean-Up Course Details
I understand there is a complete overhaul of the club house but the water along and 9 and 18 has been dry or exposed for 3 years. Feels cheap. Too much black plastic exposed. Practice green is well, not really a practice green. Needs to up it's commitment to the 'extra' care good courses provide.
Thank you for coming out, sorry we didn't live up to your standards that day. It's a constant battle trying to balance the water level in that pond along 9. That is sometimes too high, and sometimes to low. I will bring that to the attention of the superintendent. The practice green has always been a "temporary" practice green like the clubhouse. Last fall we built and seeded a new practice facility with two USGA spec greens, and hope that they will be in use later this season, but 2016 for sure. The 18 Creek again was supposed to be a "temporary" problem, but it's not going on 12 years. We had a meeting with XCEL energy last week, and they will be bringing the power over that we'll need for the new clubhouse, along with the pump that we need to provide water to the 18th creek. Thanks for playing, and we hope your next trip is better.
Sucked
I will just say that this is the first ever golf course that I have walked off of.
My name is Tim Matsche, the course manager. I'd love to hear about your problem, this is obviously not what I want to hear. Feel free to post it here, or email me at tmatsche@loggerstrail.com
Fast Play, Friendly and helpful staff
I have always liked this course and we in excellent playing conditions. The Blue Tees at 6500 yards offered a good challenge.
Thanks for playing
Staff member was extremely rude
Been to this course a few times now and the times I've gone the same staff member was extremely rude. The first time we got rained out on the fourth hole, which took us about an hour to complete the 4 holes due to the on and off rain. Immediately was questioned by the staff member about why it took us so long to complete 4 holes. So then when it came to getting a rain check he came back with the response of "you need to figure that out with golfnow, not me." Which is a first when using golfnow and getting a rain check. Seems a little weird to me.
I'm sorry you weren't treated great by a staff member. That person is no longer with us. Aside from that the rainchecks can be a little confusing even for us. Depending upon which type of golf now time you book, the "fire" deals do require you to go through golf now, along with a handful of others. Obviously this would have been easy to explain to you in a much nicer way. Sorry you had to deal with a staff member who ruined your day.
Loggers Trail
I actually loved this course even though it was raining pretty hard for most of the 18 we played. It was interesting, and narrow with alot of natural beauty. It was easy to walk and the greens were fast even though they were covered with puddles!
Great course for the money!
First time there, found the course challenging but fun. Rate of play was good, 3.5 hour round
Thanks for playing
Thank you for playing. We hope to see you again.
