Mounds
Played it again after my Sunday round, courses in such great shape had to go back and give it one more try
The mounds
Awesome course difficult to challenge any level golfer. Excellent condition if you are in the fairways

I wife and I played this course earlier this week prior to the E clips and couldn't of been more pleased with the layout of the courses do the staff friendliness. Considering that this is in a state park the condition of the course was more like a resort

Eagle Paradise
Always love playing Mineral Mounds. Abundant wildlife, saw four Fawns and one doe as well as fourteen Eagle sightings and two nest. Course is in excellent condition with the exception of the bunkers. They were full of water but had too many rocks to have played out of them. They do not need any bunkers to make this one of my favorite courses.
By the lake and lot's of nature scene.
Beautiful course, will most certainly play again.
Most scenic course I have played this year!
I had read outstanding reviews of this course and was blown away by the scenery around the lake. The course set up is very good with a good mix of long and short holes that wind around the lake. This was my first time playing here and played with a great group and we had a great time. The elevation changes made picking clubs challenging but that was the fun. The front side Par 5 that snakes around was very difficult but will know a better strategy the next time I play. The staff was great and very friendly. I look forward to coming and playing again. I wish all the KY state parks were kept as well as this one. A great value from Golf Now.
Kentucky Golf's Best Keep Secret
One of the best and most beautiful courses in all of Kentucky....
The Mounds
Beautiful and difficult course, bring some balls!!
Spring tonic
Great layout, farways offer a nice mix of generious landing area, risk reward, and a few hidden areas. Coarse was in good shape tee to green. Greens were ample but slow. Very slow, filled out but slow due to difficulties experenced last sesion. Would have appreciated some drinking water on the course, carts, clubhouse, and staff excellent
Disappointed
Based on previous reviews I expected a pretty good course. While the $27 price was fair for the experience, the course was not in good condition. Greens were slow and many had grass clippings on them. The layout is pretty good, but the conditions negate its strengths.
Decent value but could be so much better
At $28 with cart this course was decent value, but overall we were disappointed with the conditions of the course. This looks like a no frills operation, with minimal effort and cost being put into course maintenance. It's a shame because we enjoyed the layout.
The pro shop was bare bones and had minimal food when we made the turn.
This course is playable, but make sure you get a good deal on the green fees.
Neat and Challenging
This was my first time to play Mineral Mounds. I had heard for years how difficult the course was over the years. I have to say from the back tee's the yardage was not overwhelming. The elevation changes make the course tough for someone playing the course for the first time.
The conditions of the course were really good considering the time of year and how massive the layout is. The greens looked to have been punched a few weeks earlier and looked to be recovering at a moderate rate. Green speed seemed slow to me, but I also normally play Bermuda greens all the time.
I'd recommend this course, the front 9 is really neat as you track through the wooded areas. The back 9 is magnificent as you stay on the water nearly the whole side.
The course can seem very challenging with the sloped fairways and blind shots. But I have to say the design of bunkers and fairways paint the picture of where to hit shots.
One improvement that could be made is the fairway yardage markers.
Mineral mounds golf course
Mineral mounds golf course is just starting to come out of winter hibernation. The greens have recently been plugged and sanded. The fairways are still winter brown but are starting to green up. This course should be in great shape come May first.
I've played this course several times and find it to be one of the better courses in the area. It is operated by the Kentucky State Park system and is not dependent upon play for its upkeep. This is a hidden gem that should be played if you are in the area.
Really nice golf course. Course was in great shape when we played on April 1st. Staff was very friendly.
Awesome course
This course can challenge all parts of your game. Pick the tee box that best suites your game.
Beautiful course!
This was a beautiful course with a great layout. They were having some trouble with the greens, but the fairways, tee boxes, and awesome layout more than made up for it! I only wish I lived closer and could play this course all the time. Great clubhouse with super friendly staff.I would definitely recommend this course to a friend.
Great course but...
I have always loved this course. But be aware the greens on most of the course are unplayable. What a shame to let them get that bad!
This course has a great view
The course is in great shape they got some greens
that need some work. But with all the rain and heat
i guess they are in pretty good shape.
Can't wait to go back
My wife and I are trying to get around to all the state courses and we've played almost all of them now. This is by far the best. Granted the greens are suffering from some type of bacteria right now and are not the smoothest but the fairways, layout and scenery make up for it. The staff was super friendly and the day we were there they had free drink refills (soft drinks). The pro shop was well stocked and facilities extremely clean and well kept. We drove more than three hours to play and will gladly make the trip back. J
How were the greens? I know its only February, but I've read a lot of reviews saying they lost their greens last year. We are planning a trip for the end of March, and wanted to make sure they were playable. Thanks!
