Arrowhead Golf Club
About
The golf course at the Arrowhead Golf Club has been declared the top public course in Denver in the past by Golf Digest, as well as one of the top 75 public courses in the nation. The towering red sandstone rock formations are a trademark of the course, providing a unique and beautiful atmosphere, which is further enhanced by the abundant wildlife that have made the course their home. The rolling terrain provides elevation changes and undulation to the greens. Water hazards and bunkers also come into play on the course. Arrowhead Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 13th hole. It is a steep, downhill hole with scenic views.

Great Vistas, Nice Staff, Golf conditions are Sub-Par
This is a great course to bring guests from out of town. Playing amongst the Red Rocks is truly Spectacular. Very friendly staff!
However; the golf conditions are sub-par at best. The fairways - almost all of them - have huge swaths of Bare Ground. The greens are ok but pretty shaggy and slow. The bunkers are littered with quarter to half dollar sized rocks.
At $100+ this course is simply not worth playing unless you are taking out of town guests for a Colorado Experience rather than golf.
Amazing views, however service and course conditions sub par
Amazing views of downtown and remarkable landscape with the red rock. For $129 right now on GolfNow and the subsequent expectations I had (considering I've lived in Denver for almost 7 years, am an avid golfer, but just couldn't get myself to fork out the cash), I was quite disappointed. We have to warm up at the driving range off of mats and not grass, not to mention you cannot hit anything more than your 180 yard club since the range is short. On top of this, it took the staff a couple holes to come out and replace our defective cart after they were contacted (GPS not working). In regards to the conditions, the greens were slower than expected and the fairways had many burnout / rough patches. The staff said it was because it snowed late this year; however, I've played a couple other courses in the $65 range south of Denver and the conditions were far superior. I'm not trying to complain - it's just for $129, I would expect a certain standard to accompany the price tag. For about the same price, The Ridge at Castle Pines better justifies the price tag.
Arrowhead is a bucket list must play course. Bring your camera.
Views, views, views Top 100 in the world i'm sure. the fairways are a little rough with some winter kill but i'm sure they will come back in a few weeks. Greens in good shape running a little slow yesterday. 5-20-13. Still awesome value we scored a Hot Deal on Golf Now.
Fantastic views and layout. Very slow play though.
Arrowhead's staff was great, the course is fun and the views are unbelievable. Only drawback was the slow play. They let too many groups out on the weekend.
Stunning, beautiful, challenging
This course was really beautiful, not quite in great condition yet. Patches in the fairways and greens were rough. Overall though the staff was really nice and it was a ton of fun.
Beautuful golf course and scenery
A bit early in the season, so plenty of grooming to be done, but had a great game nonetheless.
Amazing Views
The course is unbelievably beautiful. Some of the best views and natural features in Denver's front range. The pace of play was great, as we had nobody in front or behind us, which allowed us to take our time and enjoy the course. Unfortunately the early season conditions left the course in very poor shape, as almost every fairway had large sections of dead grass and several of the greens were not much better. Regardless of the condition, this course is worth the round at least for the aesthetic value.
No longer all inclusive...
I used to think Arrowhead was a tourist course. Bring your camera and leave the clubs is what I always heard. Well previous two visits proved me wrong. Course was in prime shape and ALL INCLUSIVE was a great concept! We would arrive early have a meal hit the range play and have another bite. All day event! Now... Well staff at the bag drop was juvenile at best. I watched one carelessly drop two bags on the concrete (you'll never get your hands on my clubs), the range picker was broke so a newbie was you there with a shag bag while 8 guys pounded balls down the range.... The course is no longer all inclusive even though that's what it says on the score card. The staff as a whole was pre occupied with a morning tournament and afternoon wedding so we were basically in the way. The course had winter kill worse then I can ever remember and lastly the cart girl barely stopped long enough to get a drink... Way over priced for the return. Sad really this should be a true Colorado jewel...
A must Colorado course to play!
The course was hit hard by winter snow but still was beautiful! We had a wonderful time and the scenery among the ancient red rocks is something not to be missed. It is a difficult course and you absolutely have to straight off the tees to shoot well. The sand traps need some attention, but I attribute that to early spring conditions.
Amazing visuals
Great visuals & wildlife on course the staff was great
One of the most scenic courses in Colorado.
I have played this course often. It provides amazing views from every hole. In my opinion the course is never in amazing shape however it is worth anyone playing because of its surrounding beauty. I typically play here when I am entertaining out of state guests and want to show off the beauty of Colorado. Most wholes offer little challenge which is nice when entertaining.
Beautiful scenery and holes.
Even in the spring, with snow still on the ground, the course was fun to play. The scenic views of the rock formations and Denver are fantastic.
Great shape for winter golf
Course has great views but not a great golf course. Pretty short and easy to play but it is a lot of fun and a great place to bring out of towners. Played in January and course was in very good shape for winter golf.
Beautiful course, seasonal conditions were the only low point
The environment at Arrowhead was incredible- beautiful course and very scenic! We played in January for $45 and it was worth every penny. Its tough to play golf in Colorado in January, but it was 55 degrees and we had the itch. My only complaint was the winter conditions had definitely taken its toll on the course. Service by Golfnow and Arrowhead was fantastic.
Gorgeous Sightseeing and Well Maintained Course
Arrowhead is always a nice course to play whenever you get the chance. I have only played this course when they have had specials as I think the typical $140 is a little stiff for what you're getting golf wise.
Either way the course is absolutely gorgeous from a looks perspective. The first time I played here Elk were grazing in the middle of the fairways/range which was pretty unique. Some of the natural red rocks features the course boasts can be frustrating if you mishit to an area close to them, but overall they add to the fun and uniqueness of the course.
The most recent time I played the course was in really good condition minus some of the rough areas that had gotten a bit patchy, and your ball could get stuck in an ugly deep divot which I wouldn't expect at a course like this. Also, GPS on the cart they provided me was broken , and as the system keep attempting to restart made awful beeping noises during backswings etc.
I will continue playing this course whenever there are specials on it, but for the price I would rather play a course like Castle Pines, Fossil Trace, or Omni.
Great course in wonderful surroundings
I played this course as part of an early morning special. The course is surrounded by red rock formations in the foothills of Colorado and could not be a more beautiful location. The cart came equipped with GPS for determining distance to the pin. The course was in excellent shape and had holes that were fun but challenging. The staff was incredible and I highly recommend this course to anyone in the Denver area.
So beautiful causes slow play
Probably the most beautiful course I've ever played. Lots of wildlife on course. The course itself plays sort of easy much like a resort course. The signature 13th is pretty sweet, a 170 par three that plays about 30 yards downhill in an amphitheatre of red rocks.
Very scenic course
Course was fairly challenging and was in good shape for December. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
One of the best courses close to Denver. Love the rocks
Booked a Tee time for 12:27 on a gorgeous Sunday Morning
Dec. 2nd with the temp. at 65 degrees. Thats CO. for you. Got there early to warm up and they were able to get us out early. Yea. Played the course in exactly 4 hrs. with no waiting. Best of all was the price from Golf Now, $59.00 per person with cart and great service.
Thanks
Great Track.
I was able to get out on a "hot deals" rate of $49.00. Wonderful rate for the course. I played alone and finished the front 9 in 55 minutes. Caught up with a two-some and took 2 hours to play the back. Still experienced outrageous views and wildlife. Greens were a little bumpy but that is to be expected for November golf. Overall: Fantastic
