Ok
Greens not the best, probably due to the heat we had this summer. Several of the bu kers were very dirt like hard, no fluff in the sand.

Poor course condition
Fairway was in bad condition for certain holes where drainage was poor followed by patches that were not marked GIR and drainage channels being dug in the middle of the fairway. Greens were in poor shape and divots were not repaired especially on the 18th Plantation.

Pecac Grove
Some of the greens where in bad shape. A few tee boxes were barren and nothing but dirt.

Worst greens ever
You can’t putt the greens are torn up badly. The fairway is almost solid rock at this point. I know we haven’t gotten rain but you can still water! I’ve played others that aren’t much more and there are not any issues.

Enjoyed a day of golf
Considering the area is in a major drought the course is not in that bad of shape. A few green have a small amount of bad spots. I enjoyed playing 18 holes at Pecan Grove.

Pecan was in great shape, plantation however needs some help. Greens were good while the fairways were terrible.

A dying course.
Played this course for years and seemingly getting worse each year as the green fees get more expensive.
I understand the affect the drought has had on courses but this has been the worst I’ve seen throughout Houston by far. Tee boxes are pure dirt/sand. Fairways are scorched, separated all the way to the greens and they are either half dead, cratered or a mixture of both.
The members that play out there that we encountered were unfriendly, entitled and didn’t care for others pace of play. The staff/starter overall were very nice.
It’s a shame because it’s a fun 3 9-hole course setup but it needs extreme TLC.

This course used to be one of my favorites. It either needs a major capital injection or shut down.

Not bad
Decent course, fun layout, but no water provided on the course despite 95 degree weather. Expected more from a nice country club that I paid almost $60 to play for.

Good course, iffy greens
The course has a good layout and was not every busy. I got out a little early and managed to play a quick round in under 4 hours. The biggest issue with this course was the greens. Some greens had some serious patches of missing grass or crabgrass which made the putting experience very challenging. There were a handful of times it felt like you needed to chip over certain spots on the green to have any chance of holding a line. Ultimately would play again for the right price but I hope the greens get better.
