Awful club and awful attitude from staff

The worst golf experience we have ever had. Course was so booked up, 4 groups waiting at once on tee boxes. Confusion wIth online bookings. Aggressive and confrontational staff. Avoid at all costs. Wouldn’t play here even if it was free. Still in shock at how disgustingly we were spoken to by the club employees over their confusion over online booking slots.

I play regularly at Dorking GC and I really can't understand this review. The staff at DGC are always very helpful and whilst it has been busy at the Club since re-opening in mid May the tee times have been very well managed and I have never seen any one of the staff being rude to anybody. The course is currently in great condition and the greens are the best i have played in the area. All in all this is a great 9 hole course with 18 tees. At 5200 yds the challenge is not length but staying on the fairways. Accuracy is everything at DGC and with competitive green fees and membership prices it's a must to play!!

Good Value -Challenging Course

Great value at £10. A really tricky and challenging course if you have not played it before. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Ok if price is right.. Not great at full price

GolfNow online rate was almost half what the normal rate was. So I would go back if booking online. Would not recommend the course at full rate, as can do much better elsewhere. Had to book direct by phone as needed to ensure a Buggy was available. The manager Seemed to think that booking by phone means you pay the full rate??!! So I said I’ll just hit the “book now” Button on GolfNow online and that will be almost half the cost!! (Why no option to book Buggies on GolfNow??)
Nice friendly place.. unfortunately spoilt by a Manager inept in Economics!

Great little intimate course

After a mix up with Surrey National we decided to try this course and were most pleasantly surprised. The big hitters in our group had to adjust quite quickly as, whilst relatively short (no par 5’s) the layout meant you had to really think about where you ended up for your second. We’ll definitely be back

From the moment we arrived at the club until the moment we left, we were made to feel very welcome and everyone we encountered were really friendly and jovial.

Lovely atmosphere and a delightful course!

Fair price for average course

Annoyingly, this course overlaps A LOT. Holes 1, 2 and 3 are extremely close to one another, and teeing off from hole 2, it is very easy to hit hole 3's fairway. From hole 3, you have a very narrow stretch avoid hole 2. Not particularly comforting if you are a first timer at the course. Good conditions of fairways and greens.
