Well kept, fun and tricky!

I’ve played here a good few times and it’s a fun but tricky course!

Really well kept and the staff are lovely. If I found it sooner I’d get a membership (if I can find somewhere close by maybe I will!)

Good value and would recommend giving it a go if you’re in the areas.

Lovely visit

Nice course, in good condition. Few people on the course, likely because I visited in the daytime on a weekday, which meant I could set my own pace. Very friendly and welcoming to visitors. Can't ask for more as a visiting green fee player.

Lovely Club

First time playing here and was really impressed. Course is in fantastic condition. Some uphill holes in the back 9. Staff on and off the course were very nice and members equally as friendly. Look forward to returning for another round

Great course in Enfield

Everything about Enfield golf course and club is excellent. Always in immaculate condition with beautiful well cut fairways and bunkers that put 95% of other more expensive courses to shame. Greens were really true and moderately paced and in great condition. Martin in the shop is as ever friendly and welcoming, the £20 late afternoon green fee is a great touch and I hope that remains going forwards as it is very competitively priced for that time of the day. Wife and son and I all enjoyed the walk and the golf wasn’t too bad either. One shame was a 1 ball immediately behind us constantly putting pressure on us for the whole of the front 9 but never really wanting to play through so it felt as if he was putting our boy in danger every time with his approach shots to the green. If he had concentrated on playing just one golf ball off the tee and catching us up we would have gladly let him play through but instead he insisted on playing slowly from the tee and then speeding up towards the end of the hole, hitting balls directly at us as we were just leaving the greens which all felt a bit dangerous. This annoyed me quite a bit, and ruined my round a little for the front 9. He disappeared after the 9th and then we had a nice leisurely back loop in the end and that more than made up for it. Would always come back to Enfield again as it is our lost local course and is a real gem !

Play It Once

The course consists of a few flat holes and many treacherous hilly, undulating holes that are very challenging. Mid to high handicappers will struggle here but it is a solid test if that is what you are looking for. The fairways and greens are good and so are the tee boxes. They were some of the better ones in the Greater London area. Practice areas are lovely if you have some time to warm up before your round. Personally, I wouldn't play this course again but I do see how some might just love the layout!

Challenging but great fun

Played a few days after some pretty torrential rain and the course was in great condition!

Challenging but fun and feel like it’ll take a few rounds to get to know the course.

100% value for money and will be returning.

Enfield Golf Club Review

The club has excellent amenities. The club lounge and changing facilities are very clean. All of the staff were very friendly, as were the few players we bumped into on the course.

The course was not busy at all.

Despite the extremely poor weather we have experienced over the last several months the course looked immaculate. Clearly it is well looked after!

The holes offered a good spread of short to long distances and ranged in difficulty nicely.

My only gripe would be a groundskeeper was moving one of the fairways, clearly saw us but carried on mowing for several minutes halting the play.

This was an isolated event and a reflection of one person, not the club as a whole.

I am looking to join a club in the summer and this one by far outweighs some of the other clubs I have seen in the area.

Good condition considering recent rainfall.

I played this course on a cold but sunny January afternoon which was lovely given the poor weather conditions on the days preceeding my round. I was told by the grounds staff just before playing that trolleys were forbidden and that the last four holes were out of commission due to wet conditions. However I was informed that I could play holes 1-4 again to make up for this, which I did. It would be good to know at the time of booking what restrictions are in place so you can come prepared. I had to carry around my bag and clubs which didn't have a shoulder strap so was quite an unexpected effort. An enjoyable round was had and apart from one or two slightly wet/boggy fairways the course was in very good condition probably aided by the ban of trolleys on the course. The greens were in excellent condition. Would recommend playing.

Boggy but good fun for this time of year

Had a great round at Enfield Golf course for this time of year even though it was pretty boggy throughout. Always recommend this course it’s one of the best in the area especially the greens. Will definitely be back again
