We arrived in time for our prebooked 10.50 tee off time; the guy in the pro shop was extremely friendly and helpful.

The course itself looked like it could have done with some maintenance over the spring months - there were lots of areas of bare earth with no grass on them; the fairways were average. The bunkers seemed to have precious little sand in them too.

What was disappointing was the relative lack of signage on the course to enable visitors to navigate their way around the course; consequently we got "lost" a couple of times.

All in all we would go back there to play

As always, a very very good course. Probably the best greens in the midlands. Could have done with the bunkers having more sand in, but a small price to pay when the rest of the course is so good

The course is interesting and has lots of challenging holes. You need to be accurate with your shots.

The one downside, I was playing solo and on both the front & back 9 I was not waved through by the golfers in front.

I was quite disappointed as I have always been told to let those playing fast to play through. This happened twice by 2 sets of 2 balls. Typically I would be on the tee waiting to tee off while they were finding their tee shot and not once was I waved through.

Apart from a couple greens they were in great condition. Tee boxes ok, some a little sandy. Staff nice & friendly. Course in decent shape. Some tough holes too! Will definitely play again.

Good course greens were excellent but so quick recommend to anyone low or high handicap

Very very good course and hard if you come off of the fairways the only negative I have is the rough is very rough. Apart from the that great course and great staff happy to help. I played in the rain and the greens were quick and in very good condition.

Great welcome from all staff and breakfast was served by very cheerful staff. Everyone we encountered smiled and was very welcoming.

The course is a lovely little layout amongst some outstanding conifer trees with some very interesting holes. Overall for this time of year the course was in good condition.

Teed of at 09:40, first tee was busy. The 2 of us found the pace of play really good. The course was in good condition with the greens fast. Some very interesting holes and when our normal 4 ball is back together we will be coming back.

I would recommend this course to any one, it’s a hidden gem.

Staff in pro shop friendly and could not be more helpful. The members were willing to talk and wished us well being our first time. Club house was ok and I recommend the chicken tikka baguette with mint sauce.

A tidy little course that looks easy but has its defences in streams and slopes.

A first time visit and it will not be our last. The members made us feel very welcome right from the start. The pace of play was good and the course condition was very good with the exception of some bunkers which needed a little more sand. A challenging course.

All round great round of golf on a class course

Was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed playing this course. Online reviews about moaning members nearly put me off but glad it didn’t. Greens were the best they can be with the weather we are having. Greens 16,17 were very soggy but they are overshadowed by massive conifers so don’t get the sunlight all day. Course lay out was great. Every hole seemed abit different. We even met a cat on a green. Bonus. I really enjoyed the greenery and all the blossoming pink trees and the bird songs were amazing. So much wildlife going on. Was like a bird beatbox battle going on on every hole. Amazing. Fairways were short, tee boxes were great could not fault it. 30 pounds is what it costs for a decent round these days so no complaints at. Guy in pro shop was friendly too. Recommend this course yes.

Played the course recently, but unfortunately the greens made the round unplayable. Most the greens we played had bumpy lines across the greens making the ball bobble. My ball plugged twice on the greens they were so slow and inconsistent. A couple of tee boxes are also overgrown and very similar length of grass to the rough . Shame because if they had good greens and tidied the tee box's up would be a great course. I understand that course maintenance can be a difficult, but the course was empty and the inconsistent conditions of the greens and overgrown tee boxes were significant enough to impact my overall experience on the course.

Played this the day after heavy rain and the course was in fantastic condition.

Really warm welcome from the members inside and outside the clubhouse - can’t wait to play again.
