Hereford golf course
Good Parkland course with good greens and a fair number of challenging holes. Quite hilly with good views of course and surrounding countryside. You will need to be young and fit or use a buggy.
Great round at The Herefordshire
Beautiful scenery, challenging but enjoyable course with welcoming staff and good facilities.
Lovely course
Impromptu round whilst on a long weekend in Hereford. Friendly club to visitors. Course was in good shape with nice greens. 11th downhill par 4 was fun. Great views, albeit very hilly (37 flights of stairs climbed according to my watch) so consider a trolley or buggy if hilly courses aren’t your friend. Would happily visit again.
Not for the faint of heart
This course is not for the faint of heart. It’s an endurance test from the very first tee box with constant up and down steep elevations with blind tee shot after blind tee shot.
A sunny Saturday arvo
Started off by a friendly chat to the guy in the golf shop, we t'd off at 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon. (Not scratch golfers) . It is a very challenging course, and makes for a hard first game as uncertainties on most holes. Tactical play is a must. The course conditions were excellent. Fast running greens and some beaitifull scenery. Fair price for the course quality. Finished off with a pint on the balcony with stunning views. Look forward to a return.
Top Course
This is Herefordshires best golf course. Considering the rain we have had it was in excellent condition.
Staff always exceptional in all departments.
Pleasure to play there as usual .
Herefordshire
Touch of class fabulous golf
First time playing sun shining stunning
Second time unfortunately foggy but still managed to inpress
Glen eagles of the midlands
Fantastic course always in great condition greens true and all the staff are friendly a hilly course but a great test and a great 19th hole
Booked for Birthday
The scenery is spectacular and facilities are excellent. Course is a real test of accurate shots from tee to green. Very hilly and many uphill & downhill shots, above & below your feet.
Only negative this time ...greens had been tyned and sanded, so not in great shape. Wish we had been told before hand.
Great course in great nick
I have played here a few times and have found it a great little challenging course to play and not easy with some 455 yard par fours. My favourite hole is the 11th backdown towards the cafe which is a great place to stop and have a drink. The course is looking as great as I've ever seen it, with lightening fast greens and some clean fairways. It may just be my favourite course in the area with the 19th matching the rest of the holes in terms of class and presentation.
The Gleneagles of Hereford
Fantastic course. Great condition, nice variety of difficulty.
One of my favourites.
Clubhouse is in great condition.
Best to get a hot deal, as a round can be pricey.
Lovely course.
The course was in good condition and probably more so being early tee time on a Mobday morning. Very quiet too, my playing partner did say the bunkers were very compacted, fortunately I didn't find out. Will definitely return for another round.
Great course
Usual lovely condition and benefit of a hot day. Course is well managed and facilities top notch. Great value on a hot deal.
Look forward to playing again soon.
Top course
Played on what was hottest day so far but that did not distract from playing a super course in great condition. Was a member previously and new owners have done a great job in updating and modernising the clubhouse and facilities
Stopped for drink in the downstairs bar staff member was extremely friendly.
Overall a great afternoon golf and with hot deal super value.
Nice course - poor custom relations
This was our 6th time of playing so we knew the way the club and its rules worked. On this occasion we booked buggies and bought merchandise as well so the club had taken over £200 of us . We had brought our own drinks as we have in previous visits . Due to the warm weather we was told no drinks where allowed on the course only the drinks bought from them was allowed plus no alcohol. They only told us this rule after taking our money and it was only implemented on that day.
This was pure greed from the owner and they have now lost our business as we have been playing every week for the last 6 weeks. Will not be going back
Nice course.
Interesting course, very well kept. The round was slightly marred by the absence of etiquette on course. Very slow play and the society players would not let a 2 ball through. At one point there were 14 players on 1 hole, including our 2 ball waiting on the tee. We waited on every single shot for the whole round.
The pro shop didn’t seem to think that it was a problem.Would recommend an early tee time ahead of the uneducated golfers.
