Hole 18's View from Green Photo submitted by PulsarX on 02/10/2018
Nice setting.
First time played and very nice surroundings. Lots of water.
par 3's are fun
Check in was good until they realized I made our tee time through golfnow.com that's when their attitude changed, they began to treat us differently as if we had cheated them. My advice to them is try to up sale, every golfer always needs something ( gloves, balls, tees, etc.) And we all know that everything cost more in the pro shop.
Lots of water in play, surprising difficult.
Plays much longer than listed on card, the course is in very good shape. The greens were a little slow when we played, but plenty of grass. It has several water carry holes, but it a very enjoyable track. I played with a beginner who struggled with all the water, however i thought it was very good layout. The shorter holes are lined with trouble and longer holes are more wide open. Staff was very nice. It is a strange configuration of holes, by that I mean you have to watch the signs to get from hole to hole.
Get The Snorkel...
If you enjoy hitting over water, then this is your course. Good layout, plenty of challenging holes, (water in play on about 12 of them) and course conditions are pretty good for this time of year. I definitely will go back, but probably will bring some less expensive balls next time.
lots of water
played in early march, fairways are very thin. price about right for city course. driving range is above average
Fun play, needs yardage markers for distance
Not sure how far greens were from some tee boxes, and some par 5's. Greens were a little thick, but overall it was good. Drove the green on 1 hole, and couldn't make the green in 2 on 2 of the par 5's. Challenging course.
Lots of water on the day I played.
The weather was cold and damp on the day I played. the course is in good condition but difficult to find way around as you have to pass other tees to get to your tee. It is marked well but hard to tell which green is yours. Inner city golf!
interesting course, beginner beware.
Water everywhere. met my son there, nice meeting place between Waco & Austin. He is fairly new to the game and promptly freaked out with all the water carries. Comes into play on at least 12 of the 18 holes. Greens were basically good condition, but divot tools have apparently not found there way to Temple. Not overly long, but lot of trouble around. Strange routing of holes, be nice to play with someone who has been there before.
