Golfer Reviews
Work in progress
I've played this course on numerous occasions, alway greeted by friendly staff. The course and clubhouse is undergoing major changes which will improve the club and course. Thoroughly enjoyed the day as usual + no waiting. Will be back soon
16th july 2022
First time playing the course
Course very open with many bunker traps but excellent overall
Thoroughly enjoyed our round
Construction still under way but did not stop enjoying the course
Once finished it should be excellent
Good service happy to help
Staff helpfull and caring.
MARK AND HIS STAFF WHERE HAPPY TO HELP WITH MY BOOKING DUE TO UNFORESEEN ILLNESS. THE COURSE AND FACILITIES ARE HAVING SERIOUS WORK BEING CARRIED OUT. BUT IT IS STILL A COURSE THAT IS WELL WORTH VISITING.
THANK YOU.
Great little course and friendly people
The rough is a little brutal but the rest of the course is great fun. Not to challenging but some nice holes. Distance from green to tee is quite long and it could do with better signs.
Club house staff were fantastic and very accommodating.
A developing course
It may be flat, but it is quite a decent walk, and although the terrain is not physically challenging the rough is quite deep and punishes wayward shots severely.
There is a lot of construction of lakes going on and this will make the course so much more picturesque when finished. The other facilities are being developed, like the new clubhouse and leisure suites, andthey will be excellent.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
A very enjoyable day.
Woolfox golf club
So I've played here a couple of times now and I must say it's one of the nicest courses I've played at.
At the minute it looks like they are adding some lakes around the course which when done will make this course even better.
The only thing which this course needs is more signage for holes but I'm sure woolfox will get round to this at some point. Other than that I'll be back there again really soon to play
Nice Course. Looking forward to the completion.
First time playing here after seeing a few good reviews. All in all I thought this was a really nice, well thought out course although it really needs some on course markers to guide you to the next tee. As it’s still under construction I can’t give 5 stars but when the construction machines are gone and the lake is finished this will no doubt get star number 5.
Sunshine and a bank holiday
First time in a couple of years we have played here , and now it’s under new management the course is under going a few changes which will make a difference. Pace of play was a little slow but it was a bank holiday and the sun was shining so there was no worries. All in all will return again soon .
Great course
What a day, weather was not to good bit wet under foot but overall great. Shoot 91 today so that was good for me. Will be playing here alot more I think
Good course and very good greens
I have played this course a few times in the last few months. The fairways and greens are in very good condition. Although, this time of the year it is easy to lose a ball if you stray only a little off the fairways. It is an enjoyable course to play, with some challenging holes. Play moves along nicely without hold ups. The staff are polite and friendly. The shop is going through an upgrade so difficult to comment on at the moment. I look forward to playing this course again soon.
Great location off the A1.
No directional signage whatsoever from the car park or anywhere on the Golf Course.
The pro-shop is closed and registration happens in the bar, where there is a select amount of golfing apparel to buy.
The course is open and fair but the worse thing is tee times are stacked and play is very slow. It took a two ball 2 hours 45 to play nine holes. Directional signage is poor, non existent.
Obviously it looks like there is investment coming but the basics need to be looked after first.
The girls in the bar were friendly and helpful all things considered
Undervalued course
Great course well kept great greens good layout no stupid holes and rough. The course leaves you a good chance to score but you have to be playing well to take advantage. I am always surprised as to how few people are playing i drive 1 hour to reach here and it never disapoints me. Come on £28 on a weekend it's a bargain. Get in quickly as rumours have it as turning into a 9 hole course and another great course in the Midlands will be gone.
Woolfox Golf Course Improving
Great practice course. Not a particularly exciting course but the new management seems to be working hard to improve course conditions and facilities. Plenty of tee times and good value.
