Spring Conditions - Greens need TLC
1st round at Tallwood this year. Pace of play was very good @ 4hrs. Conditions form tee to green were good, rough was typical for tallwood sparse in some spots & lush in others. Fairways were uniformly very good. Greens need TLC, they hadn't been cut on a monday so were a bit slow. They've recently had a procedure that leaves lines in the green making them bumpy & difficult to hold the line as putts lost speed. Give it a few weeks...
Great course.
This course was great. The pace of play was excellent and the ranger was on top of it. 4 hours for the round of 18. Greens were fast. The course is beautiful.

Great course
Great courses usual. We finish the front nine in one hour and 40 minutes. The back name is a different story. It almost took us three hours to play back nine.
This is never happened to me before? After finishing the front nine we go to the 10th hole, the T off and there’s a group standing there, that’s starting to play nine holes? Most courses won’t allow you to do that. Also, there was a major log jam on the back nine and no Marshall be seen.
The guy that runs the snack bar needs to have a better attitude. Saying that he was rude was an understatement.
I guess I’m just used to being treated well at Blackledge.

Honest Review
The course conditions are probably better later in the year. Fairways were thin, tee boxes were pretty beat up.
On a positive note, staff was great and greens were rolling true.

Friendly Staff
I was pleased with how friendly the staff was - especially the Starter and even more so, the Ranger. That hasn't always been the case at Tallwood. It has improved over the years but it was much more noticeable this round. The course was in good shape for late April. I appreciate the fact that this course has a nice practice area, especially a sand trap! We'll be back.

Nice features, club house employee could be a little more friendlier
Nice course, no issues with people running up behind you. However the greens were horrible. We also had an “employee” playing behind us complain where we had the cart parked( 1 time). He Made it a point to drive the par 4 from tee box to our green to complain where the cart was parked. The cart was parked appropriately. I suggest if you don’t want carts in certain areas then put out signage. There is course etiquette obviously but I think he just was irritated at our slower place. Probably won’t be back there for sometime.

Wonderful Golf Course
The driving range, chipping, and putting area is top notch. The course was also in fantastic shape. Stunning scenery as well. Will definitely be back.

Amazing Course
I played because I was in the area for work and chose a random course. It was challenging with very fun holes and changes in elevation. The bunkers were in good condition, the greens had recently been punched but were in much better condition than usual punched greens. The staff was friendly, the pro shop was beautiful, and their driving range, putting green, and chipping green were amazing. Pace of play was also perfect. I played with some course locals and they were very nice and fun to play with. Overall amazing value for the money.

First time
First time playing here. We had some early morning drizzle so conditions were not ideal, it ended up clearing up and was better. Course was in decent shape given the time of year. Will play here again.

Not too bad
Lots of course maintenance so had to wait quite often. Greens are a bit bumpy, most likely due to end of season aeration. Will give it another go next season. Nice course layout.
