Tallwood Country Club

I was part of a foursome that had an 11;55 tee time Only 20 cars in the lot when we arrived. We went off 10 minutes early because the cold limited play. We played nine holes and could not tee off the back because there were 3 foursomes in front of us, that we did not see on the front. Also, by this time, 2:30 pm (sunset at 4:30) there were 50 cars in the lot. There was no ranger to monitor golfers. We went inside to complain and the guys in the pro shop said, 'we are short staffed. Did you ask who told them they could tee off?' I told him be short staffed was a conscious decision by the owner and that I am not a range or going to be put in this position. The kid was rude and tried to make it MY FAULT.That I should somehow fix it. Never did he apologize, ask how he could make it better OR go the 10th hole to fix it. He walked away. Clearly, Tallwood has 'open tees' after 2:30 or 3:00 and they don't care about those who pay. I left my number to get a call from the manager. I bet either I don't get a call or he'll try to turn it around on me. Tallwood is a nice course, but the new management is horrible.

I would like to play in season , the greens had been punched maybe 3 weeks ago it seemed and the putting was a bit tough of holes but the course itself has everything for a course the back played tougher and most water was on the back , the people that work here are really nice people and enjoy & welcome new people.

We are looking forward to my next trip to he area.

I get it it's fall lots of leaves on the ground but for $50 they ought to get out there and blow the leaves off the green complexes every Green was totally covered with leaves which made it quite difficult to putt... Apart from that a lot of great holes at Tallwood Country Club but if you're leave a ton of leaves on every Green maybe just charge $25 for 18 with a cart

The course was in good shape.

I know it is fall, but the greens were completely full of leaves.

I understand leaves off of the fairway, but the leaves should at least be blown off the greens.

Foursome in front of our foursome held us up until the 12th hole before they finely let us through!

Love going to this course. Affordable and good pace of play.

There was no sign of anyone picking up leaves.

Made it difficult to find our ball.

Course was in great shape. Driving range was closed and many greens had so many leaves that made putting impossible. All that said I will go back

The course still was showing some wear from the summer heat - but so is every other course in the area including the privates. Good conditions otherwise with polite on-course workers.

Greens were wet after a prior-day hard rain but very good otherwise.

The practice area is definitely above average for a public course.

The pro-shop staff was great.

The restaurant is a little spartan but has an above average beer selection and a really nice staff.

Forgot my shoes, pro shop had a nice selection for fair price. Course was well kept and in great condition. Glizzys at the turn were respectable. Overall great experience, will play this course more often.

Great shape, pace of play below par. Layout is awesome but greens should be rolled or cut lower.

Second time I played there and forgot my 60 degree wedge ..

They saved it on my return today with thanks to them..

Nice and honest people.The course was in very good condition.

Course layout and condition were excellent.Pace of play bogged down around the 6th hole (5 hr round).Remnants of Florida hurricane made it cold and windy combined with the slow play.Would definitely be more enjoyable on a nicer day. But that’s Mother Nature 🌬
