Course was in good condition considering the weather
Had a group in front of us that were very slow and would not let us play through. Staff spoke to them but they still wouldn’t let us through. Unfortunately slow day but course and staff were good.
Great course for wayward players
Chelsfield Lakes provided us with a lovely round of golf on a reasonable Monday afternoon. 3 of our 4 ball hadn't played there before but they all said that they would definitely play there again. Due to very little rain the fairways were hard and the ball traveled further than normal and we were blessed with some generous fairways so when we did go astray we were still able to find our ball (even on the opposite fairways). The rough and semi rough wasn't too bad either and we all felt that we got value for our shots. The greens were in decent condition generally. There's an orchard that surrounds a couple of holes so many apples are to found on the floor which can deflect any players that decide to Sally Gunnell their shots.
Staff were excellent, informative and welcoming. Thank you.
Very well laid out and in decent condition
Tee times booked too close together so had a wait on every hole, otherwise perfect
Course in poor condition
Played a quick round as the course was largely empty. Greens and fairways in quite poor condition, especially considering we are now well into the summer season. Glad the price was low.
Generally a good pay and play course.
This course is a great course if you are new to golf or just want a casual game with friends. It’s got a 1st class driving range, Pro shop and clubhouse and it’s good value for money
Enjoyed the course
Enjoyed the course, the staff were very friendly and helpful,
I just think the course lacks on course signage, next tee pointers and hole maps on the Tees.
My only other comment is that there were a couple of rowdy groups being stupid with buggies. So a course Marshall or two wouldn't go a miss
A
Great course.,well keep interesting greens. Dog legs makes you think more about position of ball off ties. Lovely views of county side, nice clubhouse. Got my 5 star rating.
Worth a visit
Bit been for her a little while. Bank Holiday weekend and it was pretty busy. Got round in 3.5 hrs (but was waiting to hit every shot). Not a long course and not overly difficult but very enjoyable. Greens were good.
Will def come back
Wet
Course has such bad drainage
Some of the greens had puddles on them !!!
Well worth a visit
First time here. Got a decent rate green fee and really enjoyed my round. It's not a long course and it's not overly difficult (you don't need to be long be you need to hit straight). The front 9 is especially enjoyable being more undulating. Fairways are pretty wide for the most part. Course was in decent condition but the greens could have been better in places. The fringes are pretty good (easy for chipping on). Practice facilities are excellent. The range looks awesome and new (didn't use it so don't know what it costs), has a putting green and and really great short game area.
Staff in the shop were friendly and it had loads of good stuff.
Weirdly there are only two lakes though and a great line of electricity pylons (I guess Chelsfield Pylons didn't have the same ring to it).
I definitely go back if i find another good rate green fee.
