Puerto Cancun Golf Club
About
Puerto Cancun Golf Club has an ideal location nestled right in between Cancun's hotel zone and the downtown area. The course is a Tom Weiskopf design that allows the natural beauty of the tropical landscape to be the star. You're never too far from the water on this golf course, with several holes that play along the shoreline and the Marina. Almost every hole offers views of the sparkling blue waters of the Caribbean. Puerto Cancun Golf Club stretches to just over 7,200 yards from the back tees with holes that will test both your distance and your short game skills. The winding fairways demand accuracy and there are strategically placed traps along the greensides. The final hole is a memorable one with a green that is situated on an island in the main canal of Puerto Cancun.

Great Course Great Staff Great Golfnow!!!
Got the tee time and discount on Golfnow....course cost me $55 USD....should have been $170 without Golfnow....paid $45 for club rental....clubs were good....course was great....had a great time...would recommend...but use Golfnow!!! but still would have been nice course for $170....
This course was excelent a great chalenge for a high hindicap
Im really recomned it its a very nice place with a good facilities
Newer course in cancun
Excellently maintained course with nice layout. Plays long with the cancun wind but aside from all the construction about a great course in a developing community. No clubhouse but course made up for it. Great greens and fairways. Enjoyed it will choose it again before I leave.
Good course but...
The course was in pretty good shape. Fairways good and wide with lots of sand, water, and marshes to penalize you for errant shots. Greens were a bit slower than I am accustomed to but were all large well protected greens.
Now the but part. No clubhouse. Under construction I guess. Staff working out of construction trailer with little to no merchandise available. No decent golf balls to purchase whatsoever. Scorecards did not have map of golf course on them but did have maps of greens. Rental clubs were decent. Once they get clubhouse built (I did not see even any walls going up) this course has the potential to be a really really nice experience.
Nice Addition to Cancun Golf!
Awesome layout, will be a first class course once the clubhouse is completed. Extremely challenging course (played on a windy afternoon); however, staff were incredible - very user-friendly and accommodating. This track is a definite "must play"!
Great course - very fun
Taxi driver didn't know where it was...the clubhouse was a tiny trailer...we were concerned. However, upon seeing the course we knew we were in for a treat. Folks at the course couldn't have been nicer. Greens fees ($110USD) were half what we paid for a much worse course the next day. Layout was fantastic and dramatic - 13th hole runs right up to the ocean, and 14 runs along the ocean. It was crazy windy when we played which made a tough (but fair) course all the more challenging. Lots of tidal water - off the fairway and you were in the soup. We agreed that if back in Cancun this would be our destination course. LOVED it.
FWIW, I did not comment on the quality of food and beverage (there wasn't much as there is no clubhouse yet) nor on conditions of the overall facilities (other than a few bathrooms there wasn't much to the facilities). These will be built out as lots are sold/houses are built.
New course
Nice layout. The course is in great shape for being brand new this season . The course plays long, so use appropriate tees to your normal game. Once the clubhouse is completed I believe this will be a good spot to play again. I believe it is moderately overpriced for comparable courses in Cancun.
Amazing course
Awesome course! Very Well maintained. Greens are in great condition very friendly staff awesome view of the ocean will definitely be back
the course i want to play again
the weather was very poor(the course pro told me that the weather was unusually windy) but the course is wonderful even the pro shop is a container house and all other thing is not ready yet. ^^)
Outstanding! Scenic & Serene
Impeccable. Simply put, this is the best course I've ever played. Enjoyable vistas, challenging design & beautifully maintained fairways. Some tee shots look rather intimidating, ..but are more open than appears. Very forgiving course, with enough trouble to make shot selection important. Rental clubs were in great shape. Treat yourself to a round of golf in Paradise!
excellent course...hard to find
course is tough but fair...great condtion
no clubhoue yet and the trailer was hard to find
Great Layout
Well designed course. I appreciated the large fairways off the tee - because each hole gets more difficult as you approach each pin. Lots of bunkers, doglegs both ways, and only one "easy" par three.
Beautiful Resort Course Setting
This is an excellent but fair course. The fairways are generous with enough trouble to keep you honest. The 4th hole is insanely difficult for the eyes as the fairway looks like a sliver; I played it from the tips. after driving up the fairway, you realize there is more room to place the ball than it looks like from the tees. The two ocean holes did not disappoint either. Other reviewers have mentioned construction, but there is none on the course. High rise condos are being constructed on the perimeter of the course, but the sound wouldn't bother anyone other than Sergio. Be prepared for more wind, as you are close enough to the ocean to be affected by the breezes, but it also makes for a cooler round of golf. Only way to book is via Golfnow, as the courses website (listed incorrectly on Google) doesn't allow you to book golf. I just wish the price was a little more competitive.
First time at Peurto Cancun GC
I visited the course last week during our spring break trip. My 14 son and I played together. There is not a club house and the facilities are very limited. the course was challenging and long for a leisure game. We had a local women and her dog walking on the 14th hole during our round. She walked up to my ball and kicked it into the sand trap. She then proceeded you things at us in spanish. I think she was unhappy there were golfers on the course. There was also a lot of construction noise. I paid the same rate other courses that were much nicer with clubhouses and provided drinks and beverage for free. I would pass on this course until they finish the facility.
Good Course
Well manicured course. View is great. There's still a lot of construction around the course but the course itself is wonderful.
Best kept secret on Cancun
Pureto Cancun has been open for less than a year and while the club house still had not been built and they are working out of a tempory storage trailer, the course itself is second to none. We were skeptical prior to playing because we could not find any reviews and when we arrived and saw the trailer we thought what are we getting into. Quickly that changed as we were greeted by a friendly staff who saw to our needs, got us our rental clubs( great clubs) and told us to take the time on the range. When we finally set foot on the first tee and saw the layout of the hole we knew we made the right choice. We teed off at 1030 and had the course to ourselves. The course was in great shape and every hole was unique on what will eventually be more of a residential development. The par 3s are challenginging and most holes are lined with mangroves so hitting the fairways is a must. The back nine haas two holes that run parallel to the ocean and for what seemed like an hour all we did was stair at the beauty that God created. We didn't have anything to eat but they offered plenty but the cervesa at the end of the round was cold and cheaply priced. The final touch that will keep us coming back was on the 16th hole knowing we had arrived by taxi they came out to us to ask if they could call a cab. We paid about 140usd and based on the other courses in the area when they finish the clubhouse and the course matures this will be the premium place to play.
Excellent New Course, Close to Hotel Zone
Puerto Cancun is one of the newest courses in Cancun and it has relatively little tourist play because it seems they are not actively promoting the course to hotel guests. I played on an early GolfNow tee time (flawless, quick check-in) and I was the only player on the course so pace of play was excellent.
The condition of the course is excellent considering it has been open for less than a year. It is hands down one of the best maintained courses in the Cancun area and the layout provides for some interesting shots. It is a very playable and enjoyable course.
Yes, you should not be surprised to find there is no club house, restaurant, etc. currently on the property. It looked like they were at least another year out from having some of those amenities. There is also construction around the course but it does not impact the enjoyment of the course.
You will not be disappointed by this course. The plan is to take it private after the residential units are sold so play it while you can!
Challenging but fair links course
The course itself was in overall very good condition except a couple of rough patches (pretty small) on a couple of holes on the back. The front nine is more challenging than the back nine. All people were friendly. No clubhouse but there were restrooms not portable johns on 4 and 13. A course worth playing more than once. Scenic holes are 13 and 14 next to the ocean. Number 9 was challenging due to it playing into the ocean wind. The fairways are wide and nut much rough off the fairways because there's water along almost all the holes.
Puerto Cancun
Corse is tough but fair
You have to make some interesting shots
Lot of construction around the course
Will get prettier as time goes
Good Condition
The course itself was in great shape, but some of the areas around the holes had construction materials laying around. Once the area is completely developed and completed, it will be an absolutely beautiful setting. The website description on GolfNow indicated it had a clubhouse and restaurant, which turned out to be a trailer and an outhouse! That was disappointing as we planned on having lunch after play. Overall it was a challenging course (bring extra balls) and an enjoyable round!
