Awarii Dunes Golf Club

Assistant pro was the rudest person I’ve ever encountered working at a golf course in 25+ years playing golf.

Threw a hissy fit to us about taking 3 carts because we wanted to keep our distance; we were all from out of town and no one working in the clubhouse mentioned a word about it when we checked in separately and just said carts were out front with keys in. He drove all the way out to the first tee to yell at us. He made it seem like there was a dire shortage “Carts don’t grow on trees”. There were at least a dozen other available carts when we tees of at 3:10 and when we finished there were upwards of 20. He wanted to get in a fight but we bit our tongues and acted like adults unlike him.

Course was fine. Good conditions but way softer than it looks. Bunker surrounds are entirely too penal. The bunker is the penalty, you shouldn’t lose a ball in the surround. Greens are extreme but don’t run fast enough to take advantage of the slopes and 80% of the huge surfaces are unpinnable and don’t come into play.

Drive an hour further west and play Wild Horse. 10x better course and no one will treat you like a little kid who acted out.

Most holes had more room off of the tees than it seems from the tee box. Greens are very quick considering the amount of slope on many of them- there is a large premium on being on the correct tier on the greens. We played on a breezy but otherwise perfect day.

this was the third time we've played this course it's always an excellent condition the fairways are nicer than the carpet in your house enjoyed every minute of it will come back time and time again

This course is very fun to play. Many challenges including the "dunes", huge multilevel greens, and extremely short and longer par 3's, and since insane blind approach shots make this course a great time. Staff has always been inviting and helpful.

Very fun course. Super wide fairways with perfect bent grass. Huge greens with some extreme undulations. Stay away from the bunkers. Played fast with no waiting and free range balls are a bonus.

Good challenge with big fairways and greens. If you are not in fairway probably won’t find your ball. Greens are biggest defense of this course.

A great day of golf on the course it's in excellent condition , well-placed t shots are a premium if you want to score well on this course! The greens can be real tough but very fair. I will definitely be back!

Nebraska is home to some very nice courses however awarii Dunes is just completely different. Yes it's a Scottish links type course and we have a few of those but the lay of the land is different. The sloping Hills the angles the views are unlike anywhere else. Most of the greens are large but some of the most difficult to get a read on. The Bent grass Fairways are wonderful it's just a great place to spend the day.

Staff was great from arrival to finish. My husband is a very good golfer and it was certainly a great enough course to challenge him but also from a ladies perspective I was able to enjoy the course very much. We will me changing our membership to Awarii Dunes Golf Club next year !!!

We had a very enjoyable round and hope to come back another time. We are from Utah and we’re just driving through!

Course is in great shape. Greens are the nicest I’ve played all winter and I winter in Arizona. Love the links style layout. You can’t go wrong playing here.

If I lived closer, I’d play all the time at this course!

Awairi dunes offers a very unique course for players. From initial arrival to exit staff was very friendly and helpful. The course itself offers a variety of options...from multiple tee boxes to adequately accessible fairways culminating in challenging greens. Hope you will enjoy it as much as I have.

This course offers challenges to all ability levels. Fair to women. Course was in exceptional condition. Some Greens are VERY undulating. Appropriate putting speeds. A true test of golf and a pleasure to play.
