Fun 9
A great course to get out and play 9 holes. It has a good mix of par 3’s , 4’s and 5’s. Always in decent shape!
Strange round
Golf now advertised $22 and someone behind the counter claimed that the price was the incorrect. I had booked the tee time through golf now and they initially weren't willing to honor it. After a few seconds of panic and uncertainty, another staff member told their colleague to give me the price and render the miscommunication through golfnow. It appeared that this had happened before to the location and through golfnow. I would be wary about booking a tee time with Skyway again, as their advertised prices online DO NOT correlate to the rates they want at the clubhouse. BE WARY ABOUT THIS COURSE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE NOT A HUDSON COUNTY RESIDENT!!!!
Simply the best
I can't say enough about Skyway. The course is great. The day I played, I saw the maintenance crew sanding divots in the fairways and fixing ball marks on the greens.
The views are breathtaking. But, the staff at Skyway are absolutely the best. From the time I arrived in the parking lot until the time I left, I felt as if the staff wanted my experience to be more memorable than I did. To me, this is what customer service is all about. I will be back, and next time, and not alone.
Great greens
Just went out for quick round. Rain kept many away, course was wide open.
I am just amazed how great the greens are, they roll very true. The course was in greart shape.
I have enjoyed every round i have played out there. A must play.
Fantastic value and super friendly
Played on a weekday. Fast pace of play. Great links style course within the city—good value too. Slope rating is definitely not accurate. Course is much easier than a slope of 135 for example. More like 125. But regardless a nice and fun track. Friendliest staff too.
Great course
Great course! Layout is great! Fairways great! Greens great! Weather beautiful! My game... needs some help today.
Way too expensive...
...for out of county. $49 to ride 9 holes as a senior? And that's probably why the pace of play was good, not many golfers.
Otherwise a very good golf course. It's difficult from off the fairway, so keep in straight. Greens are excellent.
Awesome Golf!
Skyway is a great course. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I played 18 holes from the gold tee's.
I wish I had played better, the course was challenging but set up for good decisions. The greens, tee boxes and fairways were in very good condition. I did not make many good choices today, but had a blast just the same. The wind blew a little, that made it even more fun. I will be back, thank you Skyway Golf Course staff for making my round so much fun!
So glad this course is where it is... hidden gem of Jersey City!!!!
An oasis
Love this 9 hole course layout etc. a little bit expensive to play but great shape,. Only complaint is that they didn't let us k is they had aerated
Great twilight 9
Always a challenging and fun course to play. Good long par 4/s and 5's and demanding par 3s
Great golf day
First time I played here. Condition of the course was near perfect! I gave 3 stars on pace of play due to a twosome ahead of us was backing up the course. Three Rangers rode past this. I advised one of this concern and no action was taken to speed them up. Course layout is good, but only 9 holes, maybe one too many par 3's, a par 5 that requires a good shot off the gold and black to be on the fairway (love this challenge though). Staff was very friendly! Value for the money is fair. I'm use to better rates and play 18 in the mid-west. Maybe I'm expecting too much. I will definitely play this again and again!
Not Inviting to NYC Residents
I was real excited to play this one. It's in fairly good shape and has some scenic/ unique holes. But what a poor experience. Paid $80+ for 18 holes (cart + green fees). Not a county resident so they charge me more, then it took 3 hours to finish 9 holes so I have to go back to finish my 18. It was definitely slammed because of the great weather but putting me out 20 mins past my tee time and then crediting me $27 after I spent more than $80 to play 18 is not what I would consider a fair deal. I now have to come back to the course and spend more (but no use debating with guys in the clubhouse). I think the greens fees now are ridiculous for the course. This is a great example of why golf is dying. How are twentysomethings supposed to afford this? It's admirable that the architects somehow fit 9 holes into a dump but I'd hardly call this a 9 hole course. The par 3's feel like a pitch & putt. I'd prefer 6 holes with a middle and back 6 to complete my 18. If you're in NYC go elsewhere - even commuting from Midtown which is so easy this place is not too inviting to us city folks. It was in good shape thus the 3 stars even.
Value for Money
My first time on an extremely hot day. However, was distracted by the beauty of the course. Great introduction to Links courses. Will play early morning next time to truly enjoy this course.
Amazing Find
Love this place! The staff is so hospitable and the course is challenging and fun. The Track is well maintained and although I don't play on weekends the pace of place has always been great for me. Sometimes I wish I had a caddy there for the balls in high grass, but other than that the course gets no complaints.
Additionally, playing solo there I've met a number of great guys on the course. Definitely worth the trip out to Jersey City!
Good nine holer
Played mid week around 2. The. Course was for the most part empty. Conditions were very good. Pace of play wasn't an issue since the course was empty.
Nice mix of holes. Will definitely be going back
Too slow
Lots of beginners out here
20 minute wait between holes
Staff was nice enough to give a rain check so I'll try again during the week
Looks beautiful
