Great Day

This place has been doing some course refreshing based on my last time here. It looks great. We were the 1st “group” out besides the two guys that had their pushcarts loaded and out before sunrise. We never got close to these guys and we had carts.

I saw that they had opened up some locations but some of the trees could have been trimmed back to allow for simpler shots at the green.

After the round, we went to the restaurant and had breakfast. Our server was so nice. Food was great and quickly prepared. We’ll definitely be back in the summer.

IF you have 5 1/2 to 6 hrs and $55 to waste, then yes go ahead and play here. Ran out of carts. Had to wait 10-15 mins for every shot. The course is not in great condition and the staff was no help at all.. The lady in the bar area was great though.. I would go 1/2 stars if possible.

Looks great for the beginning of the season. Will look perfect once it’s cut and manicured. Price was great, especially for it being last minute. Short course, but challenging and fun.

It had been raining a lot the last few days, but the course was in good shape. Greens and fairways were very nice.

I really enjoy playing delcastle. There are plenty of wide open fairways and room to find my slice. Big greens that were challenging for me. High winds that showed up in afternoon didn’t make the day any easier on anyone, but even a normally slow player like myself started noticing a buildup by the 3rd hole.

The pace of play today was terrible. We started at 2, and left after 7. I can’t believe we had enough light to finish the last hole after waiting on the 8 carts in front of us that were hitting multiple balls from the T regardless of the traffic at the box. Unacceptable.

Greens were pretty fast and had a lot of slope.

Ed Oliver is usually a “go-to” course for me. For the price, it isn’t bad. The front 9 bunkers are way better than the back 9. But because I played in the early/mid March, I’m looking forward to playing in the spring/summer. Although I expect it to be a little busy, instead of finishing a round in 4 hours, I’m going to tell the wife 5 hours!

Staff was very amiable. Tee boxes are a bit rough but otherwise the course is very well-kept.

Not a long course but fast, well-protected greens.

Great place to work on your short game.

I’ve read a few comments saying this place probably is nicer in the middle of the season, I played here in the middle of last Summer and it was in very poor condition. At most courses there’s a natural penalty for leaving your approach shots short of the green but here you’ll be hitting from big patches of firm mud if you do so!

I’m addition to the poor conditions, the staff was rude and I was changed additionally (so double-charged for a cart) and forced to ride with someone I hadn’t seen for six months prior in the middle of COVID because “we booked together.” I tried several times to file a complaint, and both times was met with a copy-pasted response before being ignored.
