Ed Oliver Golf Club

Greens were a pleasant SUPRISE. Haven’t played in years. Before renovations. Much more open. They added some water, took out some water, trees, a building. Cart paths were upgraded. I like what is done. Course still a bit rough in a fair amount of spots.3.5 stars. If it’s been a while for you at Porkeys, stop in and see the changes. And the greens will NOT dissapy.

Loved this course and staff was very understanding. I added two people about two hours before tee time and there was no issues at all. Fairways were in awesome condition aside from a few spots, which as a beginner golfer I’ve dealt with at every course I’ve played. Putting greens were a bit challenging but in great condition. Recommend this course for any type of golfer.

Ed Oliver is in really good shape. The staff is very professional and easy to get onto the course to start your round. The fairways overall are in nice shape but the greens is probably why I’m writing the review, they are really really nice! The ball rolled true and they have nice speed to them and were very consistent throughout the holes. Overall it was a really great experience on a nice golf course.

Will is the man he needs a promotion but other than that the course was in great shape and very fun to play! Greens are in very nice condition and the rough wasn’t too high for you to lose your ball if you hit bad drive like I do sometimes. 8/10 recommend this course.

Got there early and out as soon as we paid. The course is in better shape than the last time we played. Still could use more sand in the dirt filled bunkers. Some had sand but water not draining properly makes attempting to make it out without picking out of the standing water slow. Came across a few bands of draining water in various fairways.

All in all had it not recently rained, I would be scoring them higher.

3 hours for 9 holes. Chose not to continue. Course in fair condition.

The course is an excellent value. They upgraded over the past two years so the course needs to recover. I play as a single and usually get out right away. Pace of play is mostly good. Staff very friendly.

I have played here a handful of times and every time it gets better. Especially, after not finding out about this course until a few years ago. It is a great track with great features and a good layout. Some elevation changes, dog legs and blind shots. As far as the renovations, they are doing a great job here!

Played this course early on October 21 and then the wind started...

Tee boxes were in fair to good condition. Fairways had areas of concern i.e. swampy sections or blocked out areas on most holes. Greens were in fair to good condition. But the wind was gusting from 15 to 30 mph. This was my worst game in a long time. The trees and waste areas came into play on most holes due to the wind. Like I said, you can’t the course...

Last minute booking - friendly helpful staff- local residents say major upgrades in past year - would Play here again

I have played this course many times and have no complaints except for the pace of play. Lots of beginners and people who take 2 or 3 tee shots at every hole. No rangers on the course to help keep pace moving.

I do enjoy this course (only two par fives) because they work hard to keep the fairways nice. Some tee boxes need work but that’s typical for this time of year. Greens are in okay shape, some better than others but once again that’s typical for late September.
