My playing partner. 80 years old and still nailing his drives! Photo submitted by JettSpot on 07/11/2017
Nice course bad rental clubs
Nice course and caddy was good. Property is very big so have to go an hour early to get there and use range. They didn’t have woman’s rentals so paid $60 usd for men’s rentals that were stiff and heavy. Wouldn’t play again unless they could guarantee woman’s clubs. We even went a day early to confirm.
Worth the money
Course was in excellent shape. Great practise facilities. Our Caddie Julio was really good… made the round! Only negative is the trains, planes and automobiles to get to the course. It must take 20-25 mins from entering the property to getting carted to the clubhouse and then another long ride to the practise facility, followed by another to the 1st tee.
Stunning!
My husband and I have played all over the world. This course ranks way up there. It’s a great layout, immaculate condition and with GolfNow it was an amazing deal even when you consider paying for the mandatory caddie. There were 4 of us so we shared one caddie named Antonio. He was brilliant. Watching balls, cleaning clubs, giving hints and lines for putting plus picking us some local fruit which none of us had ever had.
Getting to the first tee is an adventure in itself. Guard gate, leave your license after your photo is taken then drive a fair way in to the shuttle stop. No cars there, just shuttles everywhere and massive hotels. They plan to become the Disneyland of Mexico. Plan for the extra time to get in and to the bourse. It’s worth it and makes for an incredible and memorable day. .
Great Course
Had a great time at the course. Be warned though, that once you get to Vidanta by taxi, you will be dropped off at a transportation hub, and then will need to wait for a shuttle to take you to the pro shop, and once checked in will need to wait for another shuttle to take you to the practice range. Allow for at least 30 minutes for this to occur.
Driving range is great and is included in the price, and hitting off of real turf, there is also a putting and chipping area off to the side that is somewhat hidden.
The course itself was in great condition. The fairways were cut extremely short, very close to the greens length.
Only saw one set of bathrooms on the course, the beverage cart came by twice.
Caddies are required, and it was an additional $20 payable at the end of the round.
Plan to arrive early!
Played this course twice in the last week. The Vidanta complex is huge and it takes about 45 minutes to get from the gate to the course. First time we played in about 4 hours second time in about 5. Course is in very nice shape and caddie was very helpful.
Nice course. Great staff.
The whole staff was great from beginning to end. Herman our caddie was great and read the greens superbly. Course was great and greens were fast and true. Sand was also very good which many nice courses neglect.
Rental clubs were ok. Titleist 200 with cord grips which gave me the start of a blister.
A slight shortage of carts but recieved one just before tee time.
Getting back to the city off the resort area required the use of a taxi which I don't prefer. Uber is better in puerto vallarta. Great day of golf with a couple areas of less than great experience but still good.
Good time
I had fun. Caddy Felix was very helpful. We started 30 minutes after tee time. It appeared that there was a dearth of available carts
Nice golf course
Our caddy Martin was friendly polite and was a great help on the greens. The course was in good shape and the greens were great. I would recommend this course but pricey. Thank you Martin for your professionalism, they are fortunate to have you as a caddy.
Overall Cool Experience
I was Actually staying at this resort so I think that made the experience a little nicer and more convenient. It could take some extra time getting here if you are staying outside of it but at the resort it's a quick cart ride over to the golf shop.
With how hot it gets I was happy to have a forecaddie who was very proffessional and experienced I think it was an extra $20 fee plus your tip. He even caddied for some pros during practice rounds during the Mexico open.
The course itself was in great shape. Tightly cut fairways, greens were running true but not lightning fast, so a fair test. Really enjoyed the layout even more than I expected, I've heard it's better since they went to the PGA tour layout. Although I've heard they may change this around again as it's a tough layout for most amateurs at a resort course.
Play the little par 3 course (lagos) if you get the chance too! Cool night time experience under the lights
A day after a hurricane!
Great shape for just missing a hurricane the day before!
Staff everywhere cleaning up the course!
Fun to play! However, if the Mexican open is played on this course it must really get a lot of attention beforehand!
Overall fun to play and the club house was in our building of the residence. Not to many time you carry your bag 50ft to the cart!
A fun and challenging course.
This is where they will play the Mexico open for the next couple of years. 6 par 5’s although one will be a long par 4 for the tournament. Total par 73. Was fun and challenging
