Mandalay Golf Course

It’s hard to find $50 golf courses like this condition. Recommend.

Lovely course and more challenging than it looks. A little dry and cracked fairways, but overall a great day out.

Would recommend a cart unless you are very fit as it’s a bit longer than I usually play.

Food and drinks great!

This is a very nice course in all respects. It was in great shape and we had perfect weather to play. The staff was super.

Sandy slow greens and a foursome in front that refused to let out twosome play through even though they head no one ahead of them. Fairways not as good as usual.

It’s still good value but I am used to better at Mandalay.

Mandalay is on the outer edge of Melbourne's urban sprawl.It's flat rocky terrain.

This was possibly Peter Thomson's last design.It's longish with plenty of bunkers.Can have variable conditions over Winter but was in very good shape when I played it.

Winds in & out of a housing estate & generally good quality with a few up & downs on the back 9.

Is vulnerable to wind given its location.

You can usually pick up a bargain green fee & the clubhouse facilities are first class

Fantastic course and lovely to play in the conditions.

Excellent all round test of golf. Alot of bunkers and large greens make it challenging at times. Rough not too deep. Greens medium pace but slope a bit and are undulating so fairly difficult.

Looked forward to playing this course after reading reviews and friends appraisals and even though the weather wasnt ideal the course itself was pretty good.

Would recommend this course for its price and layout but not its customer service.Was greeted with an over zealous started at reception who didnt take to kindly to be not wearing a collared ‘footjoy raincoat’..had a collared shirt underneath,it was raining or drizzling but he didnt want to know..Contemplated just getting back in the car!!Other than that..didnt mind it

One of the better courses I've played on and green fees were around half of that for the more premium golf courses. Green fees also included a golf cart between me and my mate which is great value.

I found the course really difficult as I found myself being punished with difficult lies every time I missed a fairway. Greens were quite easy to read and play and the bunkers were great to hit out of.

I would not recommend to a beginner golfer but would recommend for anyone else.

The booking system and course were both great. Golfnow provides a very simple process to book.

I have however been charged twice with the /me purchase pending for more than 4 days so am hopeful I hear back from Golfnow regarding this and have the funds returned in a timely manner.
