Delano Golf Course

First and last time I'll be playing at Delano golf course. Tee boxes and greens were is horrible shape, greens were not maintained at all. It was offensive that I charged $24 to play 2 nine hole rounds. The course was in the worst shape of any course I've played before I would not be surprised if they are going out of business soon.

It cost $12 to play 9 holes and that includes a cart. There were a lot of range balls on the first hole fairway but the other holes were fine. I'd recommend this course to people looking for a cheap short game.

The Delano course is a great nine hole course, is very affordable n the staff is very friendly. I love to play here because they treat you like family.

I am a rookie golfer that has used Delano as my training ground and I will continue to play there as long as there is value and affordability. Interestingly enough this small course attracts people from around the valley. There are some minor things they can do to retain and create a great repeat customer base. Here are a few:
1) Fill ball cleaners daily with solution
2) Upgrade or purchase new carts
3) Cut tee boxes and fairways more often
4) Filter out badly damaged balls for the range

Outside of these items staff is great and very attentive...

Delano is my hometown and it would be great to see someone take the risk of investing in this course. It's a great outlet for youth trying to stay off the streets and local seniors to have an active lifestyle! Delano is ready for a quality course and will pay the extra $$ for value.

Great bargain but only 9 holes great for practice and when you want to play but don't have alot of time

Great course for beginners with a great price. For a beginner I feel a bit rushed by the other golfers though.

I would definitely encourage golfers to try it. Will not be disappointed . Great value for money.

Good place to practice your par 3's, Also need to use 3 woods and hybrids to keep out of trouble, Many trees protect short par 4's.

My husband is getting back into golf after knee surgery. This is a fun little course. It is not too challenging. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would for sure play it again. I find the one par 5 hole to be fairly challenging with the location of the green on a little hill with a fast green. The lack of water has the grass in less than perfect condition but it is still a very playable course. The golf now HOT DEAL was a super value.

Had a great experience. Took my son who is learning the game. Great course for beginners yet not a cake walk for average golfer. Pro shop staff was great let me tee off 30 minutes early.

I'm a little late on this review. But just noticed that I never wrote one. Drove 45 minutes to try it out. Had already booked and paid for it. The course ended up being closed. There were to employees out there who were playing. They completely ignored us. I drove up to them and asked if they could let us play, and that we already booked and paid. He gave me the run around and told us he couldn't let us play. Yet they went ahead and played. Very annoying.

Very nice course to work on your short game, the 9th hole fairway looks not well maintain i guess it use to have little water hazard but now is empty, over all the course is in good condition and fun.

This course is a 9 hole course with par 3's that often have challenging pin locations.

Booked a hot deal time for $7 bucks on my way back from dropping a friend off in Bakersfield. Got there about an hour early and no customers were there so I asked if we could tee off a little early and was told to wait until my exact time because I booked the time on golf now and they don't get the money for that.. Kind of confused me. Greens here aren't too bad butt fairways could use a little work. Also encountered a 5 some in 3 carts and we were a twosome in 2 carts and met them on every tee box since hole 1. So we decided $7 was enough for 9 holes even though it was an 18 hole time and left. Won't be returning.

Great practice course, fairways need a lot of work, nice greens. Maintenance workers don't understand the game so there will be times when your having to avoid sprinklers before your shot or avoid hitting them cause it seems like they're always in your way.

I just picked up golf several months ago and I started here at Delano Golf Club. I'm still a nub, so I'm spending a lot of time here learning how to play and find my game. Since I started, I've learned the course quite a bit, but I would still consider it to be a moderate level course because of a few holes. The greens are nice and the hole placement makes the experience better. Overall, this is a short course, but a lot of learning and new swing practice can take place here. Jump on this course when you get a chance!

This is a great practice course for the money. Its where I taught my sons how to play. Now their both avid golfers. Course is usally not crowded and Greens are pretty well maintained. Mark , Freddy & the other young man are very friendly.

This course has seen some improvement compared to years past. Greens were in good shape, but the tee boxes need a lot of work! Grass is way to high for the tee boxes making it difficult to tee up your golf ball. Also felt like there was a maintenance guy on every other hole during my round.
Other wise, it's a good value for your money. There are some fun holes on this course and the staff were very cool! Great course to work on your short game. Will definitely return and play with the family. Keep up the good work!
