Ignore the other reviews
First off, ignore all the reviews that say it’s the best course they have played in Texas, or well worth the drive from Austin or San Antonio.
Now, with that said, I’m a +2 and shoot low 70s all the time. Got a deal on GolfNow so me and a buddy drove 80 miles up to play it.
Easy check in and friendly staff. Big driving range with good lies and grass. Great chipping and putting area. Balls are included in price.
Course is short at 6500+yds, and is built in a senior residential community. Front 9 has a great layout and mix of holes that runs through the housing development.
Back 9 is a completely different course built up in the hills with blind shots, and most all shots being either uphill or down. This is not a negative, but the 2 9’s just don’t blend.
Course conditions were very good. Tee boxes and fairways were well maintained as were the bunkers.
The greens were great. Not really fast, but not really slow either. Rolled true and consistent. But again, the back 9 greens are totally different in that they all have many separate levels and tiers. If you are on the wrong tier - good luck.
Overall - we liked the course, the staff, the conditions, and the layout.
Would I play it again? Sure - if I was in the area, and I got another deal on GolfNow. It’s a decent track, but sorry guys, both Austin and San Antonio have good courses too, for a lot less.
Now you know the real truth!!
Best New Course in Southern Texas
May turn into a top 200 under 100 value. This course’s layout is one of the best in Southern Texas. Played in the evening, pace was wonderful! 3:05 for a 2some. Conditions were perfect. A lot of construction going on but doesn’t detract from the experience. Go play before it turns private for the 55+ community.
Kissing Tree
Great course. Pace was horribly slow. Marshall on the course was apologetic but it took almost 5 hrs to play. Was told it was due to a slow group. Need to do better getting slower groups to play or allow faster groups to play through. Course is in awesome condition
The only problem is that some greens and part of some fairways are not in good condition.
Worth the drive!
If you live in San Antonio or Austin this course is a little out of the way but totally worth the drive. I was surprised at how great the pace of play was, it was a breath of fresh air considering how packed the courses are in San Antonio. Now let's get to the course. The tips are at 6500ish yards, which makes it difficult enough for low to mid handicappers. Everything from tee, to fairways to greens were in outstanding condition. The greens didn't roll fast but seemed to roll pretty true. The practice facilities are best in class. There are rumors that this course may turn private so if you haven't played here you better rush here before it turns private.
Best course I’ve been to in a while.
One of the nicest courses and most beautiful courses I’ve played in a very long time. Price was good for the day and time so no complaints.

If you’re ever in the area, definitely a must play. I drove from San Antonio & it was worth it. Pro’s: Practice facilities are top-class. Fairways are pristine. Greens are great & true. Nice Views. Great course layout. Friendly/accommodating marshal. Water stations. Nice cart GPS system with built in Bluetooth. Great course overall.
Cons: Lots of construction on & around the course. Loud. Pace of play was terrible, 5 hour round. Pulled up to every tee box with the group in front of us still there (Saturday afternoon so I guess I can understand). No riders allowed.
Overall, I’d highly recommend.
Could have made a qualifying level course
Way to short from the back tees. There is plenty of room to have made two mare sets of tees and you would have had a tournament qualifying level corse.
I don’t understand what the thinking was in the REALLY short design. That’s why I say it a bit expensive. But overall good fun..
Best course for the buck
Wow. What a great lay out. Staff on the ground was friendly and welcoming. Pro shop guy was friendly enough. Conditions were perfect. This is an A-list course.
Awesome!!
Fairways and greens in great shape, super layout, staff super friendly and accommodating, highly recommended!!!
KT a great course
KT is a fairly new course in a 55+ community. Hence not long or difficult. Manage by Troon. Great condition. Greens a bit Slow. Wide Open Fairway.
