Overall was a really good course, in great condition, good value for money. The only negative was we were in from out of town and rented clubs, no choice of stiff shafts, but even worse was the sets were incomplete, various clubs missing from each set, pretty weird and disappointing.

Greens were in great condition. Off course amenities were probably the best I’ve experienced in Texas so far. Definitely worth the cost, I’ll be back.

Played Kissing Tree for the first time yesterday while driving home from Austin and it was well worth the trip. Everything at the club was first class, from the welcome area/bag drop, clubhouse presentation, restrooms, restaurant, etc. Practice area is pristine and I love the fact that the balls were included in the cost of the round.

The driving range was large enough to accommodate a good number of golfers and provided multiple targets that were marked at ACCURATE distances. The separate putting green and pitching green were very large and had sufficient space and character to practice multiple shots from various angles and to also have multiple golfers practicing simultaneously without being in each others way.

The course itself was superb. A great mix of long/short/straight/doglegged holes meandering through the Texas Hill Country. The clear delineation between fairway, first cut and primary ruff was a welcome change from many of the courses in the area. The rough was absolutely LEGIT, but not overly penal. Hitting the fairways made a big difference, but you still had opportunities to score from the rough.

The greens rolled perfect and weren't too fast (the couple playing with me mentioned that they had been punched a couple weeks back,so that may have been part of the reason). Good shots held the green as they should and poor shots were overly penalized. The greens all had a fair amount of slopes and character but were not overly tricky. Their shaping made it incredibly important to take into account the surrounding landscape when reading putts and that only added to the fun on each hole.

I'll definitely be back to this gem. Happy to have a Top 10 Texas Public course so close to home.

The course was well manicured and obviously very taken care of.

The huge greens and shorter yardage do make scoring friendly but still challenging.

I played solo this week and was paired up with a group of 3. The course was in excellent condition except for a few holes under construction, which required cart path only in the scorching temps (PAR 5's). Even with construction holes, we finished in 4 hours. Overall, excellent day!

This course is just a lot of fun to play. Only way it could be better is if they had permanent restrooms on the front and back. Some holes were noisy due to construction of homes. Definitely playing this course on a regular basis. Got a great price for this Hot Deal of the Day. And yeah, 103*...it was hot!

Pick the correct tees and this course is a fun challenge that doesn't beat you up. A nice mix of long and short holes,, fast greens and generous fairways. Bunkers needed attention..some were flooded, some had exposed liners, some were very crunchy....only reason for the 4 stars. Also a nautical spring has announced itself on hole 14 fairway. Not the courses fault. Interested to see if they might now incorporate a water feature on that hole to address it. Need to play Kissing Tree more than I do.

I really enjoyed this course but right now green conditions are not good.

Also has no amenities.

Hopefully, things will improve soon.

A hidden gem. I had not played Kissing Tree in a while; in fact the last time I played, they had not completed construction on the new clubhouse/restaurant. So I got there early to see the new digs. I was blown away! The new facility is awesome,... and as always, the staff is amazing! Oh yea, the course was immaculate. It was perfectly manicured.... fairways and greens were pristine. I love this course! The neighborhood is exploding with growth....so many new houses in development. I'm curious to see if the golf course will be able to maintain its current charm and aesthetic once the neighborhood matures. However, for now... it's a wonderful overall golf experience.

Oh yea, completely unrelated, I had 3 birdies....a first for me in one round. :-)
