Great condition
Course was in great condition. Greens smooth but awkward to read & high winds made it difficult to control the ball. A great challenge

Lovely course. Spoilt a little by incredibly high winds. But very challenging.
Interesting course need time to mature
First time at this new course which is an inland links course without trees but with loads of gorse bushes
The fairways are excellent due to full course irrigation, the tee boxes, green were all in great condition. A minor negative was the sand in the bunkers which was variable both in terms of depth, but generally good.
The clubhouse is new and clinical, staff were pleasant and attentive. Pity that the outside seating area faces onto the car park and not onto the course, most definitely a design fault!
To summarise, we had an enjoyable day out with value for money @ £55, however, the course is somewhat boring and will soon be forgotten unlike many other links courses we have played. We all agreed on an average rating of 3 stars.
Best greens I've ever played on, in 42 years
An excellent course, in amazing condition. Best greens I've ever played on, in 42 years of golf.
Facilities great, clean, food excellent and staff amazing. I couldn't recommend this place more.
Great course
Had a nice lunch served by friendly staff, reception and course took there time to explain the whole on/off course set up. The golf course itself was immaculate, fairways are like carpet with fast sloping greens. Bad tee shots are penalised with lost balls into thick gorse( hit plenty of drives on the range!!). Back on Saturday for a charity day and can’t wait.
Fantastic golf course very very long if you're not fit enough I'll recommend get a buggy greens were absolutely in Fantastic condition
Amazing condition 👏
Expensive but an absolutely amazing course in fantastic condition.
amazing course and staff
highly recommended.
a little secret in East London/Essex
Great experience
Great course; in really good condition which will be even better when the greens are bedded in after winter work (greens were still in good condition).
Really helpful staff, great intro to the course and we were provided with course planners for the north & east courses which was a great touch.
All round good experience and will be coming back.
Proper Links Course
Very windy and challenging conditions. Course in really good condition, lots of gorse can be a big problem.
Very enjoyable but also pretty tough, especially playing into the wind.
Would recommend and play again.
Good Course but Possibly Overpriced
Played on a Sunday afternoon, around 1 pm tee time. No one in front or chasing behind, which was nice. No red tees, just yellow, white and black, which was a little confusing initially as the males in the group naturally assumed the yellows would be their start.
The layout was good and the greens were well-kept (played slower than expected). Wayward shots can be easily lost in gorse or long grass, but I was lucky enough to find mine each time. Not too many bunkers or water hazards.
Halfway house allows a drinks top-up after the first 9 holes. Verry welcome, as it was a really hot day. Only down point was that it was closed at the end of the round. We went to bar upstairs instead, which was empty, and unfortunately, the draught beer has run out and the lemonade was flat. Overall, we enjoyed it, but price-wise, wouldn't make it a regular thing.
Tough course, but great challenge
This is a really great links style course, very challenging. But ultimately a great round of golf!
Great course and club
Loved the course and it was in great condition. Tricky holes and some very tricky greens. Staff were 10/10, so friendly and helpful. Had everything you need for before or after a round and the facilities were all in great condition. Overall a great course and golf club. Would recommend if you’re looking for a course that will challenge you, and a club and course that will give you a great experience overall.
Inland Links that has it all, an Essex Gem
I defy any capable golfer not to like this course, the hospitality was excellent, the was great 9/10 for me. I will play here every year without fail. For a new course they have built probably one of the best courses in Essex and off the back tees, even the best will struggle. Great layout and the experience of playing a links course is 100% achieved at this course. A new course that deserves to succeed, we’ll done to whoever built this course,
Very enjoyable
Great condition. Fast greens. Enjoyable layout and friendly team. Highly recommended.
