Nice course, good amenities but they do pair you up with randoms, even though it wasn’t busy and it was midweek I would understand if it was busy or a weekend

Nice course in good condition with some nice holes, disappointing to be told that non members have to play off the blue tees which were a majority of mats while the members play off the yellow tees with no mats, should not be using mats now in April

Best condition course I've played this year so far!

Flat tee boxes, excellent fairways and greens that run true.

No standing water.

I didn't have any mud on me a the end of the round.

Groundsman have definitely put the work in and it shows.

I played here a number of times last year, and this was the best it's ever been, and it's only March.

Can't wait to come back later in the year.

Pace of play was horrendous - stuck behind 2 groups who would not let me play through. Not the best layout - admittedly first time playing Mardyke. Fairways were pretty muddy, not a lot of grass. Other courses in the area are better value for money.

Another stuffy members course - though the chap in reception was fairly affable. Would only return if I can't get a tee time at surrounding courses.

Great course. Never get used to it. Lovely distances, hazards . Great value

Course was in good shape except for the 16th hole which we were warned about before tee off.

The only gripe I have is that I tried phoning around 730am one morning to book a teetime and no answer on any occasion.

Left my phone number on answering machine but no one contacted me .

If the course says open on the website then someone should surely answer.

Course I’m good condition greens excellent but if pace of play could be managed would speed up the day as too 2hrs for 9holes

Tees off nearly 30mins after tee time. Slow pace of play. Con of a clubhouse refusing my golf trousers and making me buy other ones at an extortionate price or refusing me to play.

Our first time of playing here, the gentleman who booked us in was very welcoming and explained the changes to the course and where the first tee (10th) was due to the weather. The course played very well, a few wet patches (only to be expected) but the greens were superb. Considering the awful weather we have had the course played very well. Some challenging holes,8th being very challenging! We had a great round and will definitely be back. Never used the restaurant but it looked welcoming.

Refused play because of a drawstring on modern golf trousers. Staff claimed they weren't "real trousers" because they lacked belt loops. This was an incredibly poor experience, especially for a junior golfer who was dressed smartly and appropriately. We went straight to Maylands GC afterward and played there with no issues. If you use modern golf brands, you aren't welcome here. Still fighting GolfNow for a refund for a service the course refused to provide.

It rained heavily the day before and you would not have known. No mud or puddles anywhere. Probably the driest course I know.

Greens in great condition as well. Might get better for twice the price, but I think this course is great value.

Still a great course to play even in winter, well set out, good mats, great staff even better marshal.

Turned up paid our money and had a putt. starter called us over and then said there's a problem ? you have no zip in the front of your trousers lol. Cheap he said. thought he was joking. no he escorted us back to pro shop and refunded our money. After traveling for half hour as well.

Course in good condition . Greens were good . Only negative was the bare lies on the fairways although this is weather related.

Greens were really good, but fairways were really poor, worst I've seen or played off

A nice challenge, very very dry fairways but well looked after greens
