Golfer Reviews
I got stuck behind an outing, usually pace of play is much better. Bring plenty of golf balls water hazards on almost every hole. Very challenging but a nice course , greens are quick
Great weather....tough round
The locations of the cart path in proximity to the tees and greens was challenging for my old carcass with two replacement knees. Topography was very hilly and the walk to get to the tees and greens detracted from the pleasure I might have enjoyed. The staff was great.
Pleasantly Suprised
After hearing that The Links @ St Annes was a failed real estate project with an 8 hole golf course with weeds, I finally made it down to Middletown,DE to see and play the 18 hole finished product after it had time to grow in and become the prestegious course it could be. Mission accomplished. The course is interesting, challenging and the course conditions and greens were in top condition. The off course amenities were quite good at the clubhouse as well. The staff was informative & helpful. I will be definately making a return trip to play this course.
Very challenging course
St.Annes. golf club was a pleasant surprise. Very close to a 5 star. Every hole is different and challenging. Course conditions were excellent . Nice bar in the clubhouse. I will be bringing my fellow golfers here. It is a hour away from my home but the course and amenities are very good
Course was in great condition, with a bunch of beautiful holes.
Almost 6 hours!
Literally took 5 hours and 45 minutes to finish. Group of 4 younger women hitting 3-6 shots on every shot. Obnoxiously drunk and screaming every couple of minutes. Ranger came around one time while we were on 7 and said something to them. Never saw the ranger again… the cart girl came around 5x during the round…
Hole 17 literally took us a half hour to finish.
Mentioned something to the pro shop. They just said yeah someone else came in and complained about them too…
I like this course but will not be back after today.
Best links golf course in Delaware
The course condition was great!
Love the designs n challenges of each holes. Staffs r professional n friendly n helpful. It’s now my favorite
GC in Delaware. Sorry Baywood 😂
Lots of green
everything looking great, save the t boxes need some love. Greens held most shots & rolled true. NICE
A lot of water, greens were in good shape , have to keep it in the fairways or you’ll be fishing for your golf balls. Will definitely be back
First Time Surprises
The staff was wonderful; friendly and helpful, the cart mgr brought one out to my car while I was getting ready. The course was a little beat up with dry spots in the fairways and on some greens. The greens rolled true, not too fast but better than most. The frustration came from blind holes and hidden hazards on the back nine. If you have never played there before be prepared to lose some ball in hazards and sunken areas off the fairway, (12) and a huge tree blocking the approach on 11. They are manageable IF you know they are there.Lots of tee boxes recently sodded, and a hidden water hazard on 16 that was particularly annoying. It sounds like I'm complaining alot but these are my impressions. I will go back whenever GN offers a Hot Deal but not otherwise.
OK for late season
Recent heavy rains didn't impact the course playability, fortunately. There are some grass issues due to some disease, but the greens are generally good and running fast. Greens are tricky with a lot of slope.
This is NOT a course for beginners. You have to control your ball or you are going to end up in trouble and lose a bunch of balls. LOTS of water. Lots of junk. But for a mid-to-low-handicapper its a fun course. Some beginners were in a foursome ahead and slowed down EVERYONE to a crawl. The rangers were on it but still slow, even for a Sunday.
Give them a few more years and this will be a very good course.
Nice course was rainy made it tough. Would like to play again with better weather.
lucky day
yes very lucky to get round in due to weather AND every approach to greens stuck like a dart w/ big ball mark && little roll out. Nice got a 68 on the day
Difficult course with many water hazards and narrow fairways
For the novice golfer, this course is quite a challenge due to the water hazards and narrow fairways.
