Golfer Reviews
Feels like 100 degrees!
The weather channel temp. says 96 degrees but feels like 100! I was told by the starter “no coolers allowed!” I explained and showed him it was only water. He didn’t care, and without water on the course or a beverage cart it was almost unbearable. I understand rules but sometimes you have to bend them for customer safety! On a lighter note, course was in great shape, and now you know why pace of play was so good! Too hot for most people!
Day of golf
Great day of golf played with two nice guys and enjoyed the course
Golf at Babcock National.
The course is in excellent shape with a great layout and testing holes. The greens run true and are quick for the most part. Staff are friendly and it’s well run. The only down side is the lack of ice alot of time at the pro shop and around the course. Would be nice to see a bar / restaurant built close by. Regardless a great course to visit.
Great except the Bugs on 12
Has become a great course especially for value of money. Only downside was hole 12 there were little nats or Flys on the entire hole. Going in your ears, up your nose, smashing on your sunglasses.
Good course, not so friendly welcome
First time playing this course. Had to go through the gatekeeper lady that took 5 mins to gather what seemed like 99 forms of identification to enter AFTER I showed her my tee time. Get to the course finally and outside ops guys were great! Checked in with them and then in the pro shop. Get to 1st tee and some guy with a Babcock blue shirt comes rolling up on me and asks... Did I pay? What's my tee time? Are you teeing off now? Seemed like he worked there, but had clubs on his cart. He acted like he worked there. Anyways, guy stepped away out of bounds the way he spoke to me. Won't be back.
Very nice track, but greens were very bad.
The course is beautiful and fairways excellent, but the greens grass was long and very bumpy. No putt was true. Greens needed mowing and to be rolled. Sad that the course was in great condition but the greens were in such bad shape. Putting is the most important part of the game and more attention should be placed there than any where else on the course.
First Rate Experience.
This was my first time playing Babcock National. Everything was first rate. The staff was friendly and the golf course was in excellent condition and very playable. It was hot but there was enough of a breeze so it was comfortable to play. I look forward to playing there again.
