Could be a really nice course
The clubhouse, proshop were brand new and very nice for a municipal course. The carts were filthy but had gPS. The layout was very interesting and each hole was unique. Good par threes. The place needs rain as it was brown and hard. The bunkers were not raked at all. Greens rolled true and were surpringlsy quick. It is a links course. No trees, no houses. It’s in the middle of nothing. I would recommend.
Great municipal course
I live in Dallas and play this course whenever I go to Lake Charles to visit family. It's a great course with a friendly staff and a very nice new clubhouse. One of my favorite municipal courses with some interesting holes - watch out for the wind when it blows out of the south.
Great Place
Always has clean facilities and pro shop. Course always looks great. Friendly and helpful staff. Great value.

I thought I was in Scotland
Great golf course with great clubhouse! This links course plays hard but fair and I would recommend!

Great experience
The management and staff gave 5 star service. Highly recommend this course to any golf lovers who enjoy top tier service with a beautiful course and enjoy a challenge

Golf cart
The battery went dead in our cart. It took about 45 minutes for someone to bring us another. I tried to call 17 times as we were waiting on the 90 +degrees weather. It either just rang and no one answered or it was busy. Another golfer called the beverage lady on her personal cell to send help for us

Fun course
Had a fun round at Mallard, course was challenging. Need more water stations though

Hidden gem. This course will test your skill and patience. Very enjoyable. Maybe next time I’ll score better!
