What's the best way to describe EagleVail Golf Club? A river golf course? A mountain golf course? Actually, it's a little bit of both. It's also a pretty golf course ... and pretty tough. The 18-hole Bruce Devlin and Roger von Hagge design, which opened in 1974, isn't a long golf course by today's standards, but there isn't a lot of room for error. The only true mountain design for a public golf course in the Vail Valley places a high priority on shot placement, and you should as well if you want to have a good score. The tee shot at the par-5 first hole is elevated about 75 feet, there's the red barn at No. 2 (part of the area's agricultural heritage) and there are plenty of elevation changes and breathtaking views as you make your way around. But no matter what you call EagleVail Golf Club, chances are you'll be calling for another tee time once you've played there.

Great track
We played here on a whim while visiting from Texas. I have pretty high standards and wasn’t let down. The course is challenging but fair. It will punish you if you dont get the ball in play off the tee. Driver is not always the play. Conditions were very nice. Very lush and well manicured. Greens were fast and true.

Best public mountain course in eagle county. Greens, fairways, tee boxes all in FANTASTIC shape. You won’t get this quality of golf in Vail. Well done.
Course closed due to weather
Hello, I paid for 2 people to play at Eagle Vail yesterday and unfortunately it was cancelled due to thunderstorms. The pro shop told me I could get a refund through letting y’all know but I’m having a hard time getting a hold of a representative. Please let me know how I can go about getting a refund for yesterday’s rained out tee time. Thank you!
The 'greens'
Course is in great condition, except greens are spotty, but still fast and not holding pitches and chips. Cost me a lot of extra putts.
Less expensive than Beaver Creek and more challenging and fun.
Definitely a must play in the Vail area.
Sharpshooter
This is a thinking persons golf course. Your tee shot needs to be in the correct position or disaster awaits. This was our first time and it took us a while to figure out the break on the greens. I am a 14 handicap and lost 5 balls when playing due to aggressive shots and slope of the fairway. I will definitely play more defensive next round

Beautiful experience
What a great find on my trip to Vail. Beautiful course with amazing views. Pro shop was great giving me a brand new set of Callaway Rogue ST clubs to use. Only “problem “ was because of mountain elevation I flew 9 greens on my approach shots! Lost only three balls so I was a great day.
Great golf at Eagle Vale
Breathtaking scenery on an excellent course. Some holes were challenging, not a boring course! Great value for cost. Would definitely recommend.

Great layout and super employees. Course condition was not great. Fairways patchy, bunkers under repair, greens were nice.

Great layout with beautiful views in every direction. The back 9 is Phenomenal golf. This course is great to play while providing each golf a series of challenges to test their game.
