Interlocken Golf Club - Eldorado/Sunshine
About
The Interlocken Golf Club offers three nine-hole courses that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Eldorado/Sunshine Course at the facility differs from the other two with its rolling terrain and fairways. The course is challenging with rough, deep ravines, and water hazards coming into play. The greens are also undulating and very difficult to read. Besides the formidable game the course offers, there is also an abundance of wildlife and beautiful scenery. Foxes, coyotes, and deer are often spotted on the course. The courses at the Interlocken Golf Club have received local acclaim as well as praise from national golf publications including TravelGolf.com and Golf Magazine.

overpriced and overrated
I am using golfnow when its possible. At this time we had "Green saving book" and deal was that get one -one free. They are using completely different math then us: one player is $85 on weekend but they has special for "Green Saver" for a $120 for me and my son- go figure...(should be still $85 in my book)
Besides that, weeds all around the greens, and greens are SOOO SLOW!! Sorry, I am usually not a complainer.
Long Course
The course was challenging. There are many uphill holes which makes the course play longer than the score card. Played all 27 holes. Eldorado was in the best condition. The fairways had way too un-repaired divots and bald spots. The sand bottles on the cart were empty and there no re-fill boxes on the course. The rough is extremely difficult and thick. Playing as a single, I had sometime to look for others lost balls. I found an average of 2/hole in both the rough and native grasses.
Challenging but fun!
Lots of opportunities to get into trouble if you get off the fairway or overshoot the greens. Beautiful views and interesting terrain make for a nice change of pace from the flatter courses in town.
Spring time golf
The course was late on doing its aeration and the greens where really slow and the fairways weren't the best either. It will be in great shape I think once all the conditioning is done.
Fast
We played our round in under 4 hours. The course was in great shape for time of year.
Nice features
The three courses are very well maintained. Resort had some nice features. They have friendly valet to help with bags. Carts have GPS and come with towel for both riders and are stocked with tee's. Driving, putting, chipping ranges are all very nice and located close to one another. The views are also amazing. Played this course three times in a week and enjoyed each round. Looking forward to playing it more next spring.
Not my best day
Hard to write a review when I played so horribly I couldn't concentrate on much else. If I were paying attention, I would say this course is definitely worth checking out.
Very well ran course staff was very friendly .
Course was very challenging fun and in great shape for fall conditions.
Beautiful course!
Course was very nice-challenging enough but not too hard. With the discounted rate we received, we were able to try this course where at normal prices we would not have had the opportunity. Gal came out with a cart to greet us and was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Great experience!
Incredible
Even though we only got 9 holes in due to rain, we did get a rain check, the course was beautiful and will definitely play again
Very interesting course, but they need some work
We were delayed 10 minutes on our tee off time. When we arrived at the first tee, they were two other foursomes on the tee. We opted to play a different 9, since they have 3 9-hole courses, just so we could tee off without waiting a half hour. The turf was excellent due to a lot of rain recently in Colorado. However, there were grass clippings everywhere, except on the greens. I love the course layout, but was a little disappointed in the way the course was managed this time around.
Great Value and a great course in Denver!
Everything from the tee boxes to the greens were very nice. The value of the course was very good. My only complaint is that the maintenance staff could work on their "golf etiquette" since they would be talking while we were playing our shots.
Overpriced, yet challenging
Booked this course for around 63$ and was expecting Championship Style conditions based on the typical Retail pricing. Was sorely let down with the Mediocre design of the Clubhouse from the get go. The practice facilities were pretty nice with the PGA Tour Academy being present, however the GPS on the Golf Cart seemed very dated, and the starter picks the 18 Holes for you. After driving up to the first Tee Box at El Dorado, I was disappointed that the course did not look a lot more pristine then what it did. For the price, you would expect a much more solid course in my opinion. The course offered relative moderate difficulty through out. Had a few challenging up-hill par 4's that were fun. Overall, I feel like there is a much greater value for the money in the Denver and Colorado Springs area. Colorado National blew this course out of the water for $30 Less.
Amenities el
There is really one thing you think of at omni....atmosphere! It's a good course and a fun round, but the feeling of being at a high end resort is what you will get here. As far as the golf itself....every hole is very par-able. What I mean is that it's just not that difficult. Yes there is elevation change and sloping fairways that lead to awkward approach shots.....but most golfers should be able to score well here. The greens look tricky, until you roll your first putt and realize that nothing really breaks.....after that you are set. Most tee shots set up well visually, and that's usually half the battle to hitting fairways anyway. Overall a good place that has a very fun atmosphere to it.
Other than Greens and Bunkers Good Course
Course Conditions:
Greens were aerated, so they were not in great shape and made putting more of a game of luck. Bunkers have no sand, rather very coarse rock sand and firm without being manicured. Rough was thick which was ok, as it made it more challenging. Fairways very nicely kept as well as tees.
Staff:
Not the friendliness you would expect from a resort course, but not rude either.
Food/Beverage: Food in the clubhouse was good, only saw a beer cart on the course once even though we were told there were 2 out.
Overall, if you play ask about the condition of the greens prior, we paid $65/man and it would be worth that with decent greens.
Very good course
Had a lot of fun, but fell apart on the back 9. Overall a great experience. Got a great deal through GolfNow
Great course but tough
Long with terrain changes that mitigate the length. Huge greens with undulations that require approaches to the optimal quadrants of the green. Enjoyable with beautiful mountain vistas. Highly recommend this for the above average golfer.
Semi-private
As a semi-private course, members receive preferential treatment to the paying public. This may not be unusual and is perhaps expected though members may continue previously suspended rounds by advancing to the hole on which they stopped. Unfortunately, this is to the detriment of other golfers who are trying to maintain pace and rhythm.
Great course if you get a discount
The course was in great condition probably because of all the rain recently. I've played it before when it was very dry in spots. A few of the tee boxes where shaggy which isn't really a problem unless it's a par 3 and you're hitting an iron. One of the greens had the wrong color flag - it was marked 'middle' , should have been 'front'. I love this course but only if I get it at a discount. I won't pay full price.
Excellent Condition, Great staff
Overall great experience at Omni. Course was in great condition, pace of play was perfect and staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely play again. Love this course.
