Gorgeous coastline. Wide fairways . No drinking water anywhere except from beverage cart

I booked a time for my wife and I to play via GolfNow. Everything was great until we got to the course for the 2:45pm time, at which point, we were informed that golf carts had to be back by 5:15pm. (Sunset is around 7:15pm, so clearly, this policy is just aimed at getting the staff home from work without any real regard for golfers)

Additionally, the manager would not allow our kids to ride with us without a rider surcharge. I get that part, but in light of the unfriendly cart policy, charging me full price for what was essentially 9 holes, then charging me to bring my kids on top of that - I ended up paying about $200 for nine holes. The staff - all of them, to a person - ZERO ALOHA. Zero friendliness. Zero helpfulness. Zero concern or consideration for the customer. Really sad because I love playing the actual golf course. But wow. Shockingly bad customer service and not the kind of aloha people expect on the Big Island.

Take your Big Island golf business elsewhere!!

As a newer golfer I like that the fairways were wide and the holes were pretty straight forward in design. The course was in great condition and the carts have interactive GPS screens. Beautiful views of the ocean!

Highly recommend this course. Have played here every time I come to the Big Island. Personally, I think it’s the best course on the island especially if you want to play next to the ocean.

Fun layout, great condition, wonderful staff. Look for the hot deal on golf.now - but not when we are!

Sunset is at 630pm, but this course kicks you off at 5 pm. Let’s 6somes play. 2.5 hours for the front nine, so we thought we would just play that again. Nope. Front nine closes at 330om. Terrible staff, no Marshals to enforce pace of play. Stay away!

Previous round was spoiled by slow pace. This round was a complete turn around. Good company on a beautiful course.

Have played this course many times in years past.never encountered anything like this. No starter so group in front of us had 7 players. 6 players used the back tees and 3 had almost no golf skills. Almost 3 hours on front 9.

Complained at the turn and the group was briefly broken up but grouped again on the next hole. Five and a half hours later I was never so happy to leave a course. Complained again at cart return and were told that staff had no authority to enforce any decorum. This group littered the course with beer debris.

Five and half hour round. No water, No ice. Yuck!
