Kona Country Club

Wow I came out early to grab a bite to eat and was so happy I did. The Moco Loco was awesome and the service was very good.

The golf was amazingly fast and the views were great. Several hole on the ocean with the waves crashing in to complete the scene.

Greens were good and fairways are wide enough to play

The course was in great condition, greens, tees, and fairways. Enjoyed the layout.

Overall, it was a good experience, but mostly because we were able to get a good Hot Deal from Golf Now. It is like many of the Hawaii courses...over priced! I really do not understand the theory of charging so much to play in Hawaii. We would play so much more with better pricing. After all, there are many activities to do in Hawaii. Some of the holes have very nice views of the ocean. The course does have some elevation changes but it is pretty forgiving. It is too bad that the Kona Mountain Course closed a few years ago. The cart guy was a bit snarky (which hurt the Staff Friendliness rating), but all the other staff were very friendly.

Good layout, but relatively flat as expected along ocean, still fun to play, no quirky holes.

Nice course in excellent condition.

Good value when rate drops around Noon.

Play was a bit slow and there was no Marshall but we still finished in 4.5 hrs.

Also, hard to get annoyed when on the golf course in Hawaii

This place has a nice/interesting layout, some great ocean views, and challenging but fair greens! Staff were nice but service in The View was abysmal!!!!!

Wish they had GPS on carts for the money they charge.

Played this one in February 2016. Clubhouse needed updating, but the course was super fun, in good condition, and had some great ocean holes. Not an overly tough course so even a mid handicapper can try to shoot in the 70s. We also showed up about two hrs early and hit up the Kona brewing company down the road and they have a great restaurant as well (pro tip). I would love to come back. Not as nice as a few other courses on the island, but just as fun.

Outstanding views! Some of the best golf conditions ever for me! Easier course for someone of my ability, encourages one to come back!

What a treat!! The ocean views were outstanding along most of the fairways! Our day started out with the friendly greeting from the staff to the excellent condition of the fairways and greens. The pace of play was perfect, giving us time for pictures and enjoying the beautiful scenery! We will definitely be back on our next visit to the “Big Island”!

The course is in awesome shape, the pro shop is nicely stocked. The restaurant/bar has a wonderful view of the ocean. the food is good and The staff was super helpful. Can't wait to play again.

I have played this course many times and will play it again .played about 10 other local courses this is the best.i always show up as a single a d get paired with great locals and visitors sushi as myself a great time

I booked an 18 hole round for two people at 2:20 PM. IT TOOK ALMOST 15 minutes to get checked in at pro shop. Carts were provided with water and ice. We did not get any.

Carts had to be returned at 5:45 PM, 3 hours and 25 minutes after tee time. This information was not on web site. Sunsets around 6:30 PM. Dark at about 7:00. Not pleased that we had to come in after 14 holes. Pretty course, nice views, good condition.

My husband and I have played many courses throughout the world and find Kona Country Club to be among the best . It offers a ocean view on every hole with exception of 2 holes .. how many courses can offer that beauty.. the course is challenging and offers great undulating holes..

Friendly staff make you feel very welcome and are consistent. The pro shop offers a great selection of merchandise with up to date fashions .

It is a very well run facility from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave. Also being a bonus the restaurant offers great food , beautiful atmosphere, and a friendly bar. What more can you ask for.!

We are avid golfers and have played many different courses. This course had no staff to offer helpful direction, the starter was not available to speak with and at one point had 4 groups on the same hole. We played other courses in the area for less money, far better staffing and in better playing conditions. I would recommend doing your homework on ALL options before booking here.
