About
Located in Longmont, the nine-hole, municipal Sunset Golf Course is a great, affordable option for beginners and families. Opened in 1924, it is one of Colorado's oldest golf courses. Although experienced golfers may not find it challenging enough, the course provides an excellent spot to practice your short game and it is definitely one of the most scenic courses in the area with beautiful views of Long's Peak. The par-68 course covers 5,966 yards from its 18-hole longest tees. The terrain of Sunset Golf Course is quite hilly and the tree-lined fairways are very narrow. No water hazards come into play but the course is well-bunkered. The signature hole is the par-4 fourth hole.

Always A Pleasure
Great course. Excellent value. Attentive cart girl with reasonable prices. For a local muni the course is mint. There is a chance you get paired with some casuals who may slow things down a little too much, but that’s what happens when you get paired with randoms. Been here a few times, and regardless of how I play, I always have a good time.
Fun, but short.
Fun course with great old tree lined fairways. Course is in good shape albeit, a bit short at 5875 yds. No par 5’s

First timer
Thus was my fist time playing this course I have to say that Thus course is the most laid back course that I've ever played on. It's definitely a challenging course I will definitely go playing this course again. Staff was also friendly and the pro gave some very useful tips and tricks and what to expect on the course.

Excellent 9 hole
The staff was very welcoming!! Had a load of fun on the course. They keep it in great shape. Greens run a bit. Will definitely be visiting again.

Spring Conditions
Greens were plugged and sanded making putting difficult but the course in general was in reasonable shape. Enjoyed the new golf carts
