About
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

Good Golf Course...but
Course was in okay condition. The greens were very slow and did not roll well. No marshal to speed up the group in front of us that was almost two holes behind all day.
Gold course is in great shape
I’ve played here many times, and with all of the rain during May, the conditions were great. Grounds staff has done a great job of keeping the rough from getting too overgrown.
Long holes and fast greens
Had a great time playing Hyland Hills Gold course. Lots of long holes. I was able to play my driver most of the day. Very nice features including an island hole on the back 9 and a massive cottonwood in the fairway on the back 9. Restrooms were conveniently located, and they even have a snack shack out on the course if you get hungry. The price for drinks are in the low to moderate range and the staff was very friendly.

Great course
With all the rain we’ve been getting the fairways and greens we’re perfect!
Always good, but always slow
Always a great place to play but if you go here on a Friday or a weekend you’ll be playing a 5:30hr round at least.
