About
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

Nice course at affordable price
Love this course. It's way underrated in my opinion. Last 2 holes quite challenging over the creek.
Good As Usual
The course is overall in great shape for being end of the season.
Lots of leaves, hard to find your ball. Green on the slow side. Other than that, the course is in good condition, classic layout, friendly staffs.
One of the best public courses in Colorado
I have always enjoyed playing this course. The grounds are top notch, the layout is great and the staff is professional… What’s there not to like?
Waste of time and money
Booked a 3:30 Saturday tee time. Maybe I had too high expectations but this was one of the worst golf experiences I’ve ever had in Denver, and possibly overall. The pace of play was so bad that we got 9 holes in in 3 hours. We had booked 18 holes but this was not possible, however the twilight deal where you get back to the clubhouse at 6:30 and get credit for what you didn’t play (so we got credit for 9 holes, which I’m hesitant to say I’d ever even make it back to use).
Additionally, the course is suffering from overuse due to the amount of new golfers who likely don’t realize they should fix ball marks and divots or rake sand traps or not throw trash on the course. It reminds me more of a theme park than a golf course. Disappointing but what was I expecting for a $45 round, really.
Lastly, I have walked prior times playing here, but forcing singles to ride together is just odd. I’ve seen this only at a handful of courses, but it’s weird to make singles ride together.
No scorecard = no point!
I will not be back until you offer scorecards again. Absolutely ridiculous that you were out of scorecards! What’s the point in playing if you can’t keep track of your score? Who ever is in charge ought to be replaced.
One of or the best values in Colorado. Great job with the leaves on fairways.
Overbooked
Started @ 230, and played 11 holes. At that point there was a foursome on the t box a foursome waiting and our foursome arriving and I quit.
