About
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

Nice Layout..but needs a little love
This was my second time around this course. The first round was in the winter. I liked the layout and wanted to see how it was in better weather. The course conditions have not really improved. The fairways are overly compacted making them very hard. This does allow for longer drives but makes hitting second shots tight. It is early May and we have had a lot of snow and rain yet the tee boxes were so hard that one of my playing partners broke a tee trying to get it in the ground. I had to switch to shorter tees to get to the right height for my driver. This is not ideal. I am a fan of the layout and of the greens but this course needs some work for tee boxes and fairways.
Decent course
Greens need quite a bit of work, and fairways were a little choppy, but overall a great course to play for the price.

Nice course / zero concessions
No on course cart service. Small food and beverage shack at the turn was closed. Zero concessions options.

Awesome place to play and all devices are so much better this season

The course is ocoming along. Need s more water and warmer weather. Pace of play a little slow. Isamearie in the pro shop is the best!
Need more staff
Nice course just bad directions of layout. No staff on course at all.
The course is thirsty
It's been in the mid 80s 2 days in a row. Put some water on your bone-dry course!
Greens are rock-hard and completely unreceptive. Fairways marginally bettet.
